Cows are ruminant animals, mostly eliminating or at least reducing the toxin’s from GMOS because they have multiple stomach chambers. I wouldn’t worry about cheese being organic or not. I’d rather have raw and non pasteurised cheese due to some of the essential gut nutrients being removed as a result of that process. But either way, cheese is awesome. Just my input.

Please, pray tell, what "toxins" are in GMOs?
@weetzybat11 ай бұрын
@killiemon the majority of GMOs are scientifically engineered to handle more pesticides or produce their own so as a direct result they can carry abnormal levels of pesticides

Can someone explain why GMO are bad. I work in golf turf maintenance so a lot of things are similar to agriculture. My understanding of gmo food are bred to resist disease better, resist bugs, etc etc new strains of turfgrass are bred similar for disease resistance plants that’s bugs won’t eat. Better heat tolerance lower water usage to ultimately produce a better crop yield it’s just in turf we don’t harvest it’s looked at differently.
@Korterra13646 ай бұрын
TL;DR: GMO's aren't bad nutritionally from what I could find. Implementation of GMO's has side effects of pesticide ingestion and higher yields means more soil degradation and water use. Also just enjoy everything in moderation instead of in concentrate (i.e. tons of added sugar). I wondered the same thing. Here are my thoughts after some research. In theory there is NOTHING wrong with a kernel of GMO corn vs organic. The GMO corn may be more drought resistant, produce a higher yield, or grow faster if modified accordingly. The issue is with the implementation and the ethics if you want to get into that side of things. Companies want to make money ergo they will want to increase crop yields exclusively. This is a major contributor to soil degradation and overuse of water which can have a large ecological impact. Solution? Focus on resilient crops more and yield less. That doesn't make the money though. Another concern is that some GMO products like corn and soy are being modified to still grow when sprayed with more potent pesticides and herbicides. These chemicals can leech into run-off and of course inevitably end up in you even if you wash your food. Glyphosate is the main chemical that has captured everyone's attention on this angle of GMO's. There is more nuance to this than i've been able to describe here, such as some foods absorbing the pesticides and some not (thus being safe to eat when washed) but in general I think Bobby is generally promoting healthier whole food options and less processed options which the scientific consensus says are better for you, unlike the GMO debate which is still ongoing. I personally take the approach that if Bobby recommends a "Bobby Approved" Pasta but the pasta tastes like crap to me, i'll just buy my regular pasta. There are plenty of instances where the food tastes the same or better, especially when it comes to protein and dairy and I will usually spring for those. Also once you've started to wean off of the sugar addiction we all have things with less sugar slowly start to be more appealing. It is important to note that sugar in fruits and veggies with fiber will not spike your brain and blood the way concentrated cane sugar will so those are usually great alternatives that will still taste sweet.

@Sheghostly8 ай бұрын
What is the problem with gluten?
@gc-l.a.60248 ай бұрын
@@Sheghostly Many people are allergic to the protein gluten. It naturally occurs in wheat. Makers of bread, especially wheat bread, add wheat gluten in the ingredients to make bread fluffy or soft. Again, gluten is already in the wheat flour that bread is made of. Then makers have isolated the gluten protein, and it is added as another ingredient. Whole wheat is the whole kernel, and it is naturally less fluffy. So the gluten isolate is added to make it fluffy. Just for information, in the ingredient list the first ingredient list is the most, and the following ingredients are listed according to the order of amount they are. In other words, from most to least.
