We're back at ALDI to see if the frozen food section has some healthy options. ALDI has really been stepping up their game lately, lots of clean foods with great ingredients, but is that true for the frozen food too!? We found some really good stuff, especially the keto ice cream and low fat, high protein ice cream. These ingredients are next level and the price is right. The ALDI organic pizza is so close to being best in class, but the frozen kids bites are just as good as anyone else. Of course we got kicked out, but that did not stop us from filming in the snowy ALDI parking lot! Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

Would it help if we all mailed/emailed corporate of these companies and reminded them that allowing you in allows us to make good decisions and shop their stores and their products. Maybe if all the FlavFamily rallies you’d gain their respect and authorization to film....thoughts?

I think there is an issue with filming the other people who pass by in the videos without their consent. It's much better to purchase and film at home like many other KZfaqrs do. Then you have more time to discuss the products and do a taste test.

I've had an Aldi in my town for a few months now and I absolutely love it. All the trustworthy organic and vegetarian items makes it so much easier to shop. Inexpensive too! Thanks for your videos!

I appreciate these Aldi vids. I have a hard time grocery shopping at other stores bc reading labels can be overwhelming at times, not to mention so many varieties/brands of stuff. Sometimes it's because they don't want customers to be filmed without their consent and they do get in the way of other people that are in store trying to buy things at times.

@@donnamarie6840 It is not against the law to film people in public places. There are other reasons retail stores prefer not to have someone filming their products, store layout, etc. And yes, it can be disruptive, generally.

Filming in public places and stores is a sticky situation. While I LOVE Bobby’s hauls and store videos and find them very informative I can see why corporate is weary. I’ve worked in CS as a cashier and sales associate and remember teens coming in and filming THE STAFF without our permission and putting it on Twitter. It was very unnerving that video footage was floating around of me on web. I think if the faces of the staff and customers were blurred out corporate would be more open. Corporate is also trying to save theme selves from Lawsuits. So I can see from both point of views. I wonder if they could work something out where they film before the store opens or after it closes.

According to the law, consent is not required to film people in public places (it's just a courteous gesture to either not film them, or get their expressed permission - but not legally required).

Love the vid! I wonder if you can arrange an agreement with the corporate offices or even with the local managers since your channel/video is more likely to steer new customers and drive more foot traffic into these stores? It is free advertising and you are not saying negative things regarding the store or its products. The majority of the content would compel us to shop there. I hate to see you get kicked out on such a cold blustery day.

what many corporate stores are concerned about is the videoing of people without their knowledge or consent, in particular children - it's a fine legal line to 'walk' - Aldi's needs to know enough folk have watched Bobby for long enough to have a better understanding about which foods are healthy and we share this info with our friends!

battles146 ah yes, you have a point. I’m not entirely sure of the rules for public filming here but I’ve heard that people need to sign release forms etc. I see “hidden camera” shows like Impractical Jokers where there seems to be a lot of background people, (filmed in NYC) and not many blurred out. So I think it would not be possible to get consents from every passerby. But I think they get permission from the city to film in the spots they choose. So maybe if the problem are the other customers, maybe the stores would be open to the idea of letting him film before or after hours? If there’s a legal problem against it, I’m sure these stores would have already taken action considering how popular his channel is.

I think if he spoke directly with corporate and the store managers and showed them his numbers and agreed to blur the faces of the customers they probably could work out a deal. Maybe even allow him to film an hour before the store opens to avoid customers all together.

There certainly is an issue with the filming of people that could be solved with letting him film early, but he does criticize a lot of products. Essentially, why would I want someone going through the store saying a majority of the products are not healthy and not good for you? It makes the owners of the stores look like they don't care about the health of their customers.

Eric Panchenko I see your point. Though I think the reason they don’t already attack him for slander is that he’s very careful about saying it’s what he recommends or is “Bobby approved”. He isn’t necessarily making claims against the store itself. And he doesn’t attack their other products. He is just being informative about the ingredients they list on the packaging. He could easily do the same style of review without filming inside the store. So they’re not really stopping anything by kicking him out and it’s in their best interest to work with him and even work with a goal of agreeing on certain products to promote. Quite a few times in this vid he mentioned the bad canola oil but said he’d still be ok with it since other efforts to be healthy were made. It’s not like he’s gone in and rated every item on their shelves. He’s really focusing on the fact that they do now have organic and healthy options which a lot of people may not expect in a budget grocery store.

The stores that kick you out can't stop ya. You can just buy the foods you want to go over and review in a video some place else. Which is a little more of a hassle but still be just as effective to your FANS. Keep up the good work that ya'll do for everyone. We are learning so much. Thanks Bobby and Art

Hey Art & Bobby - thanks for all of your efforts to give us the low-down on crap vs. credible foods! I'd love to see 'what's healthy/not' vids that instead of spending entire time in store, and 'reading' labels, you could wiz thru that stuff after-store/in your kitchen, and then use 3/4 of the vid time showing us how YOU incorporate these items into family meals/snacks, what sides you'd serve, etc. Not to take away from this helpful good v. bad info you share, but it gets kind of repetitive by nature, although I do love seeing what's actually new in the stores that's worth buying. For sure, I like your in-kitchen vids best!

There are several variations of weight loss surgery - each with their own special diet requirements. I would get with your doctor or a nutritionist to get help with that.

Oh man sorry you got kicked out. I love that 2nd ice cream you showed, I have that in my freezer. I looked for the keto but couldn’t find it at my store. No loss since it had the natural flavors. Bobby it's because of you and Art making these Aldi videos that I got back on Keto. Been to Aldi's twice now. I now use your approved list this is so helpful and it being at Aldi's is convienent and cost effective for me. We tried the portabella mushroom burgers at our aldi's and they're really good. They're starting to come out with more and more healthier options which is great. Sad you got kicked out of the store. Even their rice cauliflower with garlic is awesome

I was so excited when I bought the keto ice cream and I thought to myself - I bet this is Bobby Approved! However I just cannot get past the texture of ice creams like this. The texture is always so weirdly dry. I want ice cream to be creamy. I also got the Shrimp Quinoa frozen meal and it tasted and smelled bad! Just so I’m not being a total Negative Nancy….I absolutely love the kale veggie burgers, and I was so happy to see you show the frozen Kale and Quinoa blend. I swear by that and had been hoping it was Bobby Approved!

Sit it out on the counter for 5 or 10 minutes before eating. The Halo Top Keto has the same issue, but after it sits out for just a bit it's nearly perfect.
