Brooke, I wanted to take a minute to thank you. We got hit with hurricane Ian and for the first time living in the south there was no battling crowds, empty shelves or desperate runs for last minute items. $5 extra into the Pantry the last few months since I found your channel meant my kids and I could stay home and secure the house. I actually started planning a store run when I realized we had everything we needed, lol. I can't thank you enough! I really look forward to Dusty's channel showing me how to further prepare my family for any situation. You guys are an amazing team helping people more then most manage in a lifetime. Thank you!

As a paralyzed wheelchair user, I would try and find an accessible house on the ocean or bay and stay there for a month and eat out everyday and enjoy the sunrises or sunsets. I would roll around all the local sites. Fall time would be cool in the New England area! It would be beautiful! Love your optimism and great personality!

If money wasn't an issue......My dream vacation would be for my husband and I to spend up to a year traveling the entire east coast from north to south visiting every lighthouse, learning each one's history, walking each beach and rocky shore; and all while staying at local bed and breakfasts along the way. We would only eat at locally owned restaurants, eat local cuisine, and shop only at locally owned shops. I think it would be the adventure of a lifetime! Thank you for all you do, Brooke! I made an amazing sale this week so went for 10.00. The little box's of jiffy corn mix .25! Got 8. Hispanic pasta gone up to .68 cents , got 10 bags at .40 and jello ( generic) .22 a box and top off for 10.00. A great week and what a blessing.

LOL! I think I may skip the vacation and use that money for a full time maid/house cleaner for a year. That would be a luxury that saved me so much time and energy...it would feel like a vacation!

Good to see so many doing the pantry stock up. I always spend the extra $5 per week on pantry. The trick anymore is how much can you get for $5?! - My Dollar General has a $1 aisle where I have picked up bar soap, cough drops, ibuprofen, etc. Don't know if that's everywhere but worth a look. - Love the taste test! 😂

Congratulations Brooke!! My Dream vacation would be on a Cruise ship from California all the way to Anchorage, Alaska then fly to Denali National Park and Preserve. Spend 2 weeks at a lodge seeing everything and also fishing! Then Cruise back probably to Seattle and fly home to Wyoming. This vacation would probably take a little more than a month. 👍😊❣️

Love the kiddo taste testers....I used to do the same with mine. Looks like we both raised cuisine critics. Far as my dream vacation/holiday in the event funds were NO object, I'd love to go home to Sibiu, Romania at Christmas time to see the cheerful lights of my town square, Piaţa Mică. I'm fascinated by centuries old architecture & European holiday stories of the past. It may not be a popular destination, but it sure is one of the oldest. Built at the turn of the 13th century, much of the original architecture still stands today. I was born there but bought into the US at 6 mos. after my folks were killed. Glad to see you addressing the need to remember to stock the non-edibles in the emergency pantry too. Those items can be huge budget busters and every dollar you spend today, may save two dollars tomorrow. My dream vacation would be a drive across America visiting every state, including Alaska and since I have to go through British Columbia to get to Alaska from Washington, that's in there too. I want to visit all the National Parks in each one and of course, I have to try the locally grown food. So that does mean smoked salmon in Oregon, and I would stop at the Rogue Creamery Dairy, that bleu cheese is a must. Weird thing is, I don't even like fish and never liked bleu cheese, but those are both memorable and I want more. In Amana, Iowa, I would visit the Amana colonies and get to make friends from a culture different than my own and try out some delicious Amish cooking. I would have to visit Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia and tour the old city and visit the historical homes and businesses and walk in the footsteps of our founding fathers and imagine life in colonial days when Williamsburg was the capitol. I would visit New Orleans and see the old neighborhoods and listen to the stories of the locals and see Treme and then to eat I am going to find some Yaka-Mein and some callas. Before I leave, I have to take some pralines with me and grab a real muffaletta sandwich to go. Definitely going to Hershey PA, because Hershey's chocolate. Plus, I've heard the Poconos are pretty. Realistically, I'd only choose one state at a time and focus on all it has to offer and really soak in the culture, atmosphere, people, music, and food, but that is my dream trip - a giant whirlwind tour of the whole USA. Of course, don't forget to island hop the Hawai'ian islands and head off to the food trucks for musubi, manapua, hawaiian shave ice, and my favorite kalua pork and cabbage with mac salad. Double mac salad please. I guess I'm on a foodie tour.

Dream Vacation I've done it once and as a motivator we booked again for June 2023 but unfotunately have had to cancel. A Princess Cruise to Alaska. PS. I just found your channel and I have watched several of your video's as well as Dusty's dollar tree BOB bag. I have really enjoyed your down to earth take on working within a budget. As for my dream vacation, I would like to get away with my grown kids, wife and grandkids for a few weeks to an off grid cabin in the woods where we have minimal supplies and work on bush craft skills, hunting, fishing and foraging.

Hi Brooke! The look on your face during the taste test, Kodak moment! LoL Some of Aldis sauces are good, some are not, as I've found out too. Those are also a hit or miss. I love their teriyaki and sweet & sour oriental sauces - yum! My $5 pantry stockup this week was canned soups I use during the holidays in recipes. My $5 freezer Stockup was 2 things of whip topping, 1 box of pie crusts, and 1 bag frozen corn. I'm planning ahead so I can give my family their favorites. My dream vacation would have no time limit. I would love to road trip in a van and drive the outline of the United States, then zigzag back and forth until every state had been visited. I would end with a flight to Hawaii. Furthermore, I wouldn't just stay in the van, I would also check into cute Airbnb's, nice hotels, etc. Love your videos as always! xo

If you prefer body wash, you can grate the bar soap and dilute with water (preferably distilled water) and use it that way in a pinch. Loving your videos and your humor, girl!

We buy bulk bar soap. Usually Ivory. In an emergency it can be used for everything. You can wash your body, your hair, your clothes, your dishes, anything that needs washing. And yes bar soap lasts almost indefinitely! It's a good trade item too if times get really bad. I would keep dial antibacterial bars too for wound care and applications where you need a sanitary clean. But I wouldn't use dial in my hair as it's more harsh.

A dream vacation for us would be to go for 2 weeks to Tennessee and stay in a cabin…especially in the Fall when it’s starting to get cool and the leaves are changing colors. Ahh…happiness 😊

I mostly shop at Aldi and Costco. When I go to Aldi I stock up on canned goods. I heard there was going to be a tomato shortage so I started with all tomato products. I am a homebody and don't care to travel. I work full time and love to stay home.

The best dupe I've tried for chick fil a sauce is Great Value's chicken dipping sauce IMO. Kroger's dupe was nasty. Dang it! I wish we had a ALDI near us! Not for their nasty sauces but for everything else lol.

My husband was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina, I am a California native. My husband hasn’t been back in years and my dream vacation would be to stay in a cabin in the smoky mountains and drive through the south and visit all the small towns along the way to visit Whitehall in Upstate N.Y🙌🏼🙏🏼 On another note I would just like to say how much your videos have helped our family we’ve tried a lot of the five dollar meals and it’s just been a blessing.

I would love to go to back to Germany, I lived there for 2 years in the early 80s, but, I was young and had a baby. ( ex husband was in the military) There are so many things I didn't get to see or do because money was super tight. The experience was wonderful. I'd love to go back and travel the entire country. My great grandparents were german immigrants and I know so much more now about my history. I'd love to see where they were from etc...bucket list.

By many other standards this isn’t a vacation but to me personally vacation means family. I can close my eyes and picture my husband and I, our children and grandchildren could have a weekend (it’s a dream, let’s dream big) have a week to just spend all together in any one place. No one in a hurry, not everyone scrambling and running life’s rat race but just breathe, relax and enjoy one another. I’ve lost all parents, grandparents, elders and value the time we have. It’s not always where we go but who we’re with. I could simply have my dream vacation without going anywhere but home. Far too often we think we have tomorrow but truth is we have right here, right now. My dream vacation is a state of mind drenched in love, nostalgia, traditions and a memory made that money can’t buy and time can’t touch. My dream vacation was always to travel through Europe. If money were no object and neither was time, I'd take my time, hit all the major tourist areas, and explore those that weren't so touristy. I'd want to live a month at a time in places like Italy, France, and the UK, and just take my time soaking it all in. I'd then want to travel to Japan for a month, then South Korea and China. Then, I'd come back to the states and move to my ideal area, somewhere between the mountains and the beach, and enjoy my own home library. That's my dream. By the way, thank you so much for this channel. It's been the first (at least for me) real pantry stocking videos I've seen.

We even had to buy an extra freezer (which is now full) We get paid every 2 weeks and we always buy something extra. We don’t put a price limit on it simply because we have stockpiled things like dog food (put in containers). When we go to the grocery store any other time, we always try to pick up something else that is on sale. A couple days ago I bought about 5 boxes of pasta that was on sale. I hope you realize how verbalizing your thought processes as you evaluate purchases helps folks. We ALL need to pay attention to how we spend our money. I buy hand/bath soap at the Buck and a Quarter Tree. I also grate up the yardley stuff and make our own soft soap. As we say at our house “ a dollar is a dollar”, ea I g if you save it o e place, you can spend it on something else…like ground meat!

I’m in the middle of my pantry stickup for this week, I use Flashfood and got a great deal on zucchini and yellow squash. I’m canning it! Before someone says it’s not FDA approved blah blah blah….I’ve eaten canned squash for 40+ years, and my grandmother lived to 98 eating it, so I don’t care if the government likes it or not. I’m not inviting you to dinner so you don’t have to worry about what I do in my home. I got 18 lbs of each for just under 20.00. Yep 36+ lbs of under 20.00

My dream vacation as a kid was always to go to Ireland, mostly because I believed my family came from Ireland. About 7 years ago I suddenly had an obsession with Paris. 5 years ago I did a DNA test and it turns out I’m not Irish, but mostly German. I did find out that I’m 17% Italian and 7% French so I’ve been learning French and I would love to go to Paris.
