Just because you believe (wrongly) that a Deadly Handgun is not loaded with real rounds that doesn't give you the right to point it at 3 people and pull the trigger!!! In fact, they have rules against that in the industry which Baldwin would have known about. So yes he also responsibility for Hutchins death.

The inexperience of the armorer was obvious to anyone that has seen the footage from her own trial. I was in horror watching idiot actors walking around with guns on set that were pointed up in the air, pointed at other actors and crew members on set, waving guns around carelessly. Using guns as a pointer tool like you would in a speech in a college lecture when a professor uses a pointer tool to point at things on a screen, but they just used guns to do that in this movie. and then Alec Baldwin doing the same exact thing using his gun as a pointer tool as he was explaining a scene. Absolutely abhorrent and disgraceful. We saw several actors mishandling guns. And then the worst of all we saw the armorer........the professional worker on set who is responsible for weapons and weapon safety and training on set. and we see her mishandling guns several times. We see her one time walking briskly holding several guns, long guns and I think maybe pistols also and the guns are haphazardly in her arms piled up and pointing every which way and definitely at people that were in the shot of the video and guns pointed up, and not down at the ground, and pointed straight ahead and left and right. Absolutely ridiculous. and completely unacceptable for someone who holds that position. Then we saw a couple more times when she was mishandling guns. She also never, not once in the videos I saw immediately told any of the actors or crew who were mishandling guns to properly hold the guns or tell them to STOP where they were so she could correct and train them on what they were doing wrong and how they needed to handle the guns. not once. and they walked right by her several times or were within the camera shot with her and the person mishandling the guns and she never said a word to them. Completely irresponsible. She had no business being in charge of weapons. as she herself has no idea how to handle weapons. Not a clue. Even if I was in a rush or was being rushed by my producer or director, I would refuse to run with guns. I would only carry one at a time unless they were in cases as to be safe. No matter what the stressful situation is I would handle the weapons in a safe manner and not allow anyone to rush me while I was handling weapons nor would I allow them to rush the actors while they were handling guns. and BTW, what the hell is Baldwin writing down the entire time this lady is talking? He just doesn't want to hear the truth about what happened that day. What a type "A" personality. The absolute worst personality type. imo. This whole thing is disgusting. The lack of taking responsibility is disgusting. Sure, people don't want to go to jail, but whatever happened to owning up to mistakes you've made? There's no honor or honesty in so many people today. Own up to your mistakes. the gun didn't have any problems. The trigger was pulled. own up to it and be a man. I hope they take into consideration when sentencing that he is not owning up to what he did or for not doing the research before hiring an inept armorer. an armorer who should never be around guns. Every person I saw in those videos including the armorer handled guns like they have never had one second of weapons training. I hope this tragic case makes some changes in laws that an armorer must have a certain amount of hours of training. a certain amount of hours of classroom training by an accredited place before becoming an armorer. and must have a certificate of completion. This is so maddening. If just the slightest bit of gun safety was used here that lady would still be alive. But not one ounce of gun safety was used. It's not just Baldwin's fault. It's several people's fault that this happened. If he gets off on this I will be really disappointed in our justice system. I'm sure he has the best lawyers available. I hope the Prosecuting attorney is good here and thorough also because if not his top lawyers will find ways just like the dream team did years ago to let a murderer get set free.

2 things I noticed, 1 why was the gun loaded if he was not to pull the trigger and 2, The prosecutor said in her statement that the gun was checked by both the armorer and assistant director before handed the gun. So despite not doing a safety check himself which he should have, a safety check was done what sounded like seconds earlier which he very likely witnessed before being handed the gun. I dont think that constitutes manslaughter

Smart State move to have a dark-haired, Hispanic sounding Prosecutor do the opening (in New Mexico) instead of the sour faced perpetually aggrieved blond DA. As Harry Littman says , this trial has the "Whiff" of charges against celebrity for show. rather than reason. The tragedy was horrible and heartbreaking; a young woman died- her family is forever hurt,; but Baldwin did not murder her or slaughter her. He and she were players in a terrible , probably with better crew avoidable, accident. State had offered big tax breaks to fil companies to film there. No film company is going to want to film there now.

There is a bias in the statement from the very beginning. In regular jobs you would not go around with the gun. At his job, performing arts, he goes around with guns pretending a persona that shoots and kills the other. Often the vicious the act is the better the performance. We created awards for it. Baldwin could not predict or have any knowledge that there is live ammunition. The suppose to have a souvenir with dummies ready for his performance. He was not responsible for armour. There was an expert hired for it. There is absolutely no evidence suggesting it was planned murder. Halyna could havd easily killed Baldwin when practising the scene. It is disgusting to now attempt to charge him with manslaughter. Maybe there was negligence on part of his production role, but it is absurd to blame him for this tragic accident because he used the movie souvenir gun to enact the scene.

Personally, I think he is criminally negligent in his role as a producer. The prosecution can’t argue that anymore and I don’t think they have a strong enough case when just arguing that she should have done a safty check. They expert armorer that the prosecution got for Gutierrez-Reed’s case even said that it didn’t matter to him if the actor performed a safty check since the armorer is responsible for making sure the weapon get’s to the actor already safe.

Baldwin, even though a producer, has a staff well paid to oversee all aspects of production. Armorers are paid and expected to control the prop guns. The people on set that day don’t act sad or upset really but flat. I’m amazed. No emotions. Just zombie like. They just watching out for number one! Poor Helena and the man shot. People just don’t care like they should for innocent people but always want to cast blame or in lying denial.

This woman is a dolt. The fact is an ARMORER is hired to do one friggin job. They clean, load, unload, TEST, handoff (after testing is complete) and LOCK the guns when not in their direct posession. The armorer if they had any brain activity would NEVER LEAVE THREE GUNS OUT WITH NO SUPERVISION for any of 100 people to pick up and do whatever (nefarious or otherwise). Period. The armorer is responsible. That gun was given to the actor, and he thought it was not loaded with live ammo. Meanwhile, it was reported by several people that Hannah Guttirez brought that ammo for the crew to use during breaks on tin cans set up in the back outside area of the stage. This is not that hard. Yes, Baldwin did pull that trigger and yes, he is a dolt, but he was under the impression by having the gun handed off that he was not in possession of a gun with a live round in the chamber. Hannah Gutierrez Reed is to blame and imo, should have got a minimum of 10 years to serve in full. She showed extreme negligence that cost someone their life, and another got shot and lived. Yes, I am a female and I own several guns. I used to hold various titles as a teen, and I am very disgusted with this woman. She muddied the water for other women and the extreme negligence is beyond embarrassing. She was too busy taking selfies of her bloated a--- than to do her job properly. She is a repugnant human being on every level and should not be trusted to flip burgers when she gets out of prison.

I really don’t think too many actors check a prop gun before a movie to make sure it doesn’t have real bullets. Armorer person Experienced or not…. It’s their job to do their job…wrong person on trial in my opinion…

Leaning towards acquittal so far. Nobody checks their cold gun on set. If anything the actors guild should be held responsible for allowing use of real weapons during production. No reason they can’t use prop weapons.

Lol “prop” weapons? Dude all g u n s on all sets are props and they’re also all REAL g u n s too. 🤦🏻‍♀️ do you think everything on every movie set is made of plastic? Or is CGI? most of it is the real thing. Fake g u n s don’t shoot. Hence why they don’t use them in MOVIES that don’t use CGI. 😂
