Storyline:

Caleb's mom left when he was really young. The only thing left of her was a family photo, and the pirate hat. In order to keep her memory alive, Caleb wears it throughout highschool. His dad got really mentally unstable and began drinking non stop. Every time Caleb comes back from school, his dad abuses him, saying it's his fault and he shouldn't live. One night, Caleb couldn't take it anymore. He snuck out of his room and drove to the bridge. His father enters his room to apologize and, horrified, notices the open window. He grabs his motorcycle and races after Caleb. Caleb is on the bridge looking down at the waters below. Before he could jump, his dad calls out to him, telling him how much he means to him and that he can't lose Caleb. Caleb smiles and falls off the edge and into the water below. He is rescued by an emergency team, but they don't know if he will survive.
