This act is really special and cherish by me because the first time I saw it (the classical DVD Ulziibayar Chimed solo act version) my passion for Cirque du Soleil really start. For me, this act is one of the best of Cirque du Soleil.
Act : Contortion - Music : Taruka
Singer : Nancy Arnaud and Malika Alaoui Ismaili
Small, delicate bird-like creatures, the two contortionists bring this refined Mongolian circus art to the stage. Perched on a seemingly weightless table which rotates slowly as they perform, the duo executes both impressive and imaginative feats of flexibility and balance.

The solo version from the DVD recording is beautiful, but I love how the duet version of this act plays with symmetry. Totally beautiful

I love the later decision of having the Singer in Black sing lead on this song. It's very nice to have a mix of voices throughout, rather than just having her relegated to singing harmony all the time. This is also one of the softer and more mysterious sounding songs, so it fits with the character perfectly.

I feel you and, yes, this act is more for the Singer in Black to sing... The Singer in Black is somehow a more mysterious character and also more misunderstood yet equally important and enchanting as the Singer in White who seems to be more upfront and approachable.. I see those two as the "ying and yang" energy in the world/Kingdom of Alegria..

One of my favorite acts from Cirque du Soleil. This is also really special to me, I was only 8 years old when I saw the Alegria DVD❤ Solo or duo version, this is a beautiful act:)

Sameeee when I was about 6 my dad showed me Alegría and I immediately fell in love with this act and I still love it to this day. It truly is beautiful.

I wasn't planned to publish other Alegria video act... but if people want it, maybe the fire act? On the dvd, there is only 1 man like the contortion act but in reality, it's a duo act.
