@bella roja hate to break it to you, electronic music is big thing alejandro does. This was beautiful, imo. Out loud is probably his most mainstream song, and i still love it. Don't put homie in a box.

Nope, no longer a karaoke show, but unfortunately too often a beauty contest. But thank you to Alejandro for allowing us in on the ground floor of what will be a long and successful music career. I look forward to all the CDs and new originals!

They aren't letting him play his songs as a favor. Many of his songs are better songs than the covers his competitors are singing.

He'll get second place and a bunch of deals, and the winner will get overly promoted and sucked dry for a year or two until they fade into obscurity- you don't know the formula yet

Everything he sings is amazing but his originals are just beyond beautiful. The look of surprise when he realised that the audience was singing along with him was just priceless. I thought about the same thing. I had read somewhere that a previous winner had hoped not to win because they had to be locked in a contract for 1-2 years. Not good if you are a genius like Alejandro who is a songwriter/musician. He would have to sing songs that would have to be approved by the label. I do not see Laine have hit after hit songs like Alejandro has right now. I love a song he has on Spotify called Fading Away. Pure love. He is the true winner.

Thank goodness he won't be forced to make music that doesn't suit him, he can be himself and creatively free. So, really, he did win, in a big way! You're right. Now he's free to pave a solid career in the long term, as a true artist prefers, not being struck in the AI terrible contract. And he will raise a huge money as soon as he drops out his album, make videos and go tour, cause millions are already begging to buy it, just the way nowadays producers are looking for. Making to the finals has made possible to use AI's national TV time at the maximum to premarket the whole package. What it seems to be bad now, is the best thing could ever happen to him, actually. That's why I'm happy for Laine as well. As a talented, but ordinary singer, this is the best he can reach. But for Alejandro, money is just a matter of time. His artistry greatness is way beyond a TV show "Best Karaoke Singer" tittle. He's going to be part of the great ones on the music history. Totally different worlds in music industry.

I think they did it on purpose... so that he is not tied with a ball and a chain of the winners contract obligations. This way he can sign with a company that cant interfere with his music. This works out better. Cause in our heart homie is the winner

Once again the 15 - 18 girl groupies vote the cute guy as Champ..instead of the multi talented runner-up. While Laine is a good singer..on a 1- 10 scale of talent compared to Alejandro..Laine is about a 4. Time will tell who will be remembered.

Funny what they say American Idol is not a karaoke show no more after Alejandro performance. And then again a karaoke singer wins the show. I like Lain very talented got the looks the outfits and thats what America wants. But Alejandro is on another level composing and such a self tought talent much respect. But this time there are number two we all won listening to Alejandro's own music much love 👍👍
