Listened to her two days ago in a more classical setting of La Traviata. She was absolutely amazing.

Agreed! No joy in her "Gioia." She seems to be too concerned with the motions of staging rather than being in the moment of the character.

Her pitches are off - that's true - I'd like to hear her voice more tipsy here and there - like Renee Fleming's version - Aleksandra also needs to sound more joyful and with beautiful, emotional crescendo's, decrescendo's and dimenuendo's - she's a woman with little hope for the future and here is a young, rich, handsome man offering to love her - so where is her emotion? She looks the part and has an appropriate swagger that I haven't seen in any other diva. She's interesting to watch but she's not a world class opera singer - like so many in this past decade - they get by on their looks rather than on artistic musical skill.
