You may be the one sensible Soldatova fan. How emotional she gets when performing has actually become her one endearing quality and made her bareable to watch (for me)---even if I can not stand the utter lack of risk and choreography in any of her routines, compounded by her hedging in between elements... it is such a shame given her exceptional physical potential. Her reaction makes me think of how excited the Averinas get at the end of a successful performance (even if they have lost spark during their actual routines, especially in 2018). It is such a contrast to Kabaeva and Kapranova, who pretty much had to pretend to be pleased with their performance in their certainty that they'd be awarded the top score regardless of merit. I am glad that the sport has moved in this direction, where we can see emotion of the athletes that corresponds to the stakes of the competitions for which they spend countless hours training for...

whi is her choreographer, and whats the problem with her choreography? i really like it. plus, how can one say the sport has moved in this direction of more emotion? the new rules turned the sports to very technical, most of the music is therefore not melodys anymore, but music good for as much jumping and circuse work in the shortest time possible. which lives almost no room for emotion expression. it has damaged the sport dramatically. sasha is so emotional that even that couldn't eliminate her expressinves, especially in a song like this one. but this is an exception! most of the girls look like circuse robots now. very sad actually, pray they would return the sport to what it was.

you're missing the point completely, which is why I wouldn't even bothering making this point to somebody lacking the nuance, regardless of their appreciation for any given athlete, as evidenced by the unqualified(!) fanatism for a gymnast like Soldatova... That's why I commented specifically in response to @Sylla Atlas, who seems to be perceptive and reasonable and tasteful while not being facetious about the huge issues with Soldatova's career and shortcomings --- especially as many are because of a third party's fault...

she is gold because she has more note on execution than Dina so this make the tie-breaker

its exciting anyone of Soldatova, the Twins and Linoy can win Worlds all-around, it will be a nail biter, hopefully Sasha is at the right time peaking, I see room for improvements she might score 81+ at Worlds if clean !, personally I want Arina to win as her routines are fantastic the hoop, ball and clubs deserve recognition
