You should try RandomWalk in the medium channel on a a Universal Material type. Way nicer

Octane really needs a dummy mode for this. It's great to have that level of control, but in Blender its just an SSS slider. Done. Same for Redshift. I don't have to grab all these nodes dial in settings for 5 minutes just get started with a good look. But I am trying to learn it because I really like the way Octane looks. But this method is one of my favorite so far.

You can use the universal shader, then it's just a slider. But i somehow enjoy this chemistry style approach more 😅😅

From what I understand, you still need to do all of this with the universal also
