Alenka Zupančič (ZRC SAZU): Is the Logic of Fantasy the Lacanian Transcendental?
It has been suggested that Lacan's concept of fantasy-as that which gives us access to reality-in some way echoes the Kantian notion of the transcendental. The presentation will explore their similarities and differences, with the aim of showing what constitutes Lacan's truly revolutionary contribution to modern philosophy. Particularly when it comes to the question of objectivity, objective knowledge and the place of the subject within it.
