^That was a rumor right after the show released, but The Duffer Brothers never confirmed it. The 2nd season will be a continuation and theyve gone so far as saying they will even address Barb (no they didnt forget about her, they just ran out of time to show her characters family and stuff)

Kind of, but if you want to listen to stuff like that then I suggest you listen to actual 80s music. That music is more upbeat, synthwave is meant to be more gritty and this song nailed it
