They were so unique, so rare. 3 white English boys, 1 immigrant from Zanzibar, of Indian Parsi descent, ethnically Persian. When he hit England in 1964 he was hit with racism, xenophobia & later homophobia. He & the other Queen members bonded over music & became friends & brothers. They were all gifted, brilliant & hard working. .

Fred was actually British. He lived near me in England, and was engaged to my neighbour Mary. I grew up with her family as friends of my mum’s, in Fulham.

Freddie is a force within himself. I love him so much. And the new movie is actually amazing, it's REALLY good. Allen knows what's up! That movie is amazing

All of the members of Queen sing. The drummer has one of my favorite voices his name is Roger Taylor and he would drum and sing all the time sometimes he would and sing with the microphone BEHIND HIM. His voice is really raspy but he was also able to hit really high notes in the 70s and if you hear a super high note in the harmonies (for example the high galileos and the 'for me' in Bohemian Rhapsody are him). Brian May the guitarist also has a great voice that was very calming. The bassist John Deacon didn't really sing much but he also had a pretty good voice in harmonies. Both Roger and Brian have songs that they sing the whole way through in Queen. All 4 members Freddie, Brian, Roger and John have all written Number 1 songs as well.

Mercury cures - WOW! Someone acknowledges that Deaky contributed to harmonies! I saw them live and his bass was amazing and his voice actually good! He was just insecure about his singing because he wasn't primarily a singer. He gets disrespected too often.

@@susieq7401 John is an incredible bassist and deserves a lot more attention and praise. I've heard his voice he was probably very self conscious since the other members had such amazing voices. I wish he would have maybe built up the confidence to sing alone but you know things take time.

In this film John and Roger were singing the "don't stop me now" backing and neither Freddie nor Brian were singing and John and Roger sounded good. I don't know where the rumour started that John does not sing. Maybe he was not confident enough to solo, but as backing he is well able.

I used to sing in a choral group and one time we had this Queen project. We had like almost 20 Queen songs in our repertoire. Songs like Somebody to Love, Bohemian Rapsody, One Vision, Under Pressure etc. They were difficult to learn especially Bohemian Rapsody which had 54 pages of music sheet but it was really fun. Don't Stop Me Now is my favorite after work drive song. 😁

Freddie NEVER…NEVER cheated, vocally! He hit every note with purity, effortlessly. He didn’t need fancy vocal runs, yodeling or calisthenics. He could maintain a note, sing it through and make every hair on your body stand up on end in awe.

I'm born out of the country and my parents grew up in another country so alot of peoples' childhood songs are songs I've never heard of so recently (because of movies about old musicians) I've had the joy of discovering bands like Queen as if they were new. It's amazing.

Hey Bobbie...that recording took place with someone else...see the thing was that Michael Jackson insisted on bringing his pet Llama into the recording studio..so the session didn’t happen...seriously..imagine a Llama in a studio?..how about putting it in a field instead😂🤣😂

@@Semajsenrab72 But that's how you do music videos lol. You lipsync. It has nothing to do with that Freddie could sing. They do it to Beyoncé too. And all big(and small) artists. In every music video ypu hear the studio version. There's some exceptions where the music video is a live version, but for the majority, lipsyncing is just how a music video is done.

Mother Love is Freddie’s last song. He sang the first verses but was too tired and said he would come back and finish but he never did 😥 Brian sings the last verse to finish the song. A beautiful song and Freddie still gives it his all even when he was so ill. ❤️Freddie❤️

BTS does not play instruments, so they are not a band. Queen and The Beatles wrote their own music and played their own instruments. The Beatles are the best selling artists and band of all time with 413 million album equivalent sales. Queen is the second best selling band and the 4th best selling artist of all time with 266 million album equivalent sales. BTS currently stands at 57 million album equivalent sales. **Zenobia** lol I’m taking nothing away from the Beatles or Queen. My point was I know ALL the Queen and Beatles And BTS songs. You can probably add ABBA and Michael Jackson to the list... and it’s MY list. I belong to the Queen era so I’ve been around a while and have never connected to any groups art like I have to BTS. Their story arcs are amazing. They are singers, rappers, dancers, writers and producers who work constantly to improve. They have made Time magazine, spoken at the UN, given millions to charity, and more and are only 23 - 28 years old. So their story is still being written and their success takes nothing away from any past successful groups. 💜

Think, this song wasn't that great work for Freddie. He sang at Band Aid concert 1984, altough his doctors told him not to do, because of maybe losing his voice perfomance in case of an laringitis. Still one of the best concerts anybody ever delivered!!!
