Жыл бұрынAlex Formenton played his first full season in the NHL and he didn't disappoint. He recorded the 2nd fastest top speed this regular season at 24.7mph or 39.7km/h, only behind Martin Necas of the Carolina Hurricanes. Without a doubt that is an impressive top speed, however Formenton proved this year that his game is much more than just speed. The 22 year old was a consistent penalty killer, and finished the season with 5 shorthanded goals (tied for 1st in the league). Throughout this video you'll also notice that Formenton has an edge to his game, getting under the skin of the other team. One thing I would like to see Formenton do more of is shoot. On many rush plays throughout this video (and some which were left out of the video), Formenton elected to pass with his backhand when he probably should’ve shot the puck. With that said, his backhand pass on some rushes did work and resulted in a goal.

He is Sorely Missed.....If you did one of these Season Highlight reels for Mathieu Joseph from last year it would last about a Minute and half.

Next year the plan is to make one for DeBrincat, Giroux, Talbot, Joseph, Sanderson, Pinto, Zub + all the same players from this year and possibly more! Unfortunately I can’t do videos of the newcomers this year, as I am in my last year of university currently. However I’m working on getting a tool to get clips from all 32 NHL teams. This way next off-season I’ll be able to make videos of newly acquired players who have yet to play in a sens jersey.
