On a less public scale, this was the story of me and my husband. We met 18 years ago in London. Me, a German Prince from a minor princely family, meeting and falling in love with a young man from South Africa. Against initial family wishes and obstacles too numerous to name, we made it work. We were legally married in South Africa in 2008 and have now been happily married for the lat 15 years. I adore this movie and hope it inspires more people to not fear being their authentic selves. Life is too short, so love and be happy!

A terrific movie and I loved the chemistry between the two lead actors. I see something in this movie that is similar to Heartstopper, yet different, though I hope the bigots of the world can see it for what it is, a love story between two individuals even if it is between two men.

Some minor misses and changes from the book, but you can't put everything from book in a single movie.. Awesome work by each actor...Alex is just ❤❤❤ and Henry and his dilemma and all that he has to overcome, shown perfectly in his expressions ❤❤❤ Catherine, June, Cash and Stepdad are missed dearly

just watched this magnificent of a movie I am so glad we live in times where a gay romances are depicted as fairytales, this movie brought tears to me and my boyfriend eyes we have been together for almost 6 years and we live in India which is still largely a population of conservatives and people who are quite distant through the whole LGBT community but watching this movie gave me hope of marrying each other and living in a world has a straight couple would

Normally these romance movies are so so corny especially Hallmark and even when there are talented actors, the dialogue is so bad that it's difficult to sit through. Over the years, I have found myself watching more and more LGBQT movies because they are often so well scripted, acted and all round great production. This one, while having a few elements of the soapy love stories (the wedding cake fiasco was a little trite), overall this was very well done. The leads have wonderful chemistry and the plot (difficulties of a royal marrying outside the blue gene pool not to mention being gay) was totally believable. The transitions didn't feel rushed and while I don't believe I will see a gay prince come out in my lifetime, it was delightful to watch it on film and to root for the future. A sequel wouldn't hurt.

Sorry for your loss. My rope broke 35 years ago when my boyfriend was murdered and I survived a brutal homophobic attack. You never forget the loved one you lost, no matter if natural causes, or tragic means. 35 years later I still mourn that the rope was broken, and never found a replacement. Now at 60, it's too late for me to find a new Prince. 😭

Firstly Thank you for this beautiful, Well done clip.. I just finished watching this beautiful movie... Fell in love with the movie from all the clips.. The story is beautiful, the 2 actors are beautiful, the dialogues are beautiful and powerful and positive.. It's not just a love story of the 2 royals, of 2 men but also 2 humans who learnt to find the strength in love and within each other, whom brave ahead to find love and stood by and believe in each other.. To stand firm to be who they really are..
