In fact, the most incredible thing is his story, he started training very late because before he was a fighter he was an alcoholic, in all his fights he was always the least experienced, for example, in Poatan's first kickboxing fight against Adesanya, Adesanya he has had almost 100 fights while Poatan hasn't even had 20 fights hahaha I have some Brazilian friends and they showed me some podcasts where he told his story in full, everything he did is very spectacular, being Brazilian kickboxing champion despite his addiction, being the only simultaneous champion of glory, and beating several kickboxing and MMA athletes with much less time in the modalities.

Alex is a young 36 though, he doesn’t appear to have much wear and tear on his body. The athleticism, cardio, and power is all still there.

Pereira started training exclusively for MMA less than 2 years ago, before that he had only had a few fights while he was at Glory, including his last fight at Glory was a few months before his UFC debut against Vakhitov, one of the most complete Strikers of the last decade, I honestly think even better than Pereira and Adesanya
