You mention chiropractors aren’t trained in the mind body aspect of things (which is true) but good news is my husband (who is a chiropractor in Canada) has completely added mind body therapy into his current practice. I have TMS and it took us both down a crazy road which turned into him changing his practice into more mind body (TMS) work. Yes the body does get injured and he helps so many with muscle injuries but has also gone the way of TMS with many patients he knows is TMS and not anything actually physically “wrong” with him. So hopefully more practitioners out there in the chiro,physio, massage world learn more about Mind Body.

Well done Alex !So happy you found your healing interview on you tube with Dan and could improve so quickly ! The obsession of wanting to get better at any cost is just normal ! If doctors label you with incurable stuff, that’s like a death sentence and who would not start fighting and pushing against that! Which in itself is so distressing for the brain that’s already overwhelmed ! For me you are 💯 recovered from chronic pain.. human pain is normal and can be dealt with. Sorry you had to go through such tough years but look at you now: a fit wise young man with a brilliant life ahead! Enjoy!!! Thanks Dan and Matt for spoiling us with another gem of hope! 🙏🤗👏👏👏

I can relate so much with Alex ,being so young and fit then people ask you to help lift something and having to say no that what absolutely destroyed me😢. I looked so strong fit etc then being out performed by my wife who is half my weight size . I used to be the person who would go out of my way to help people and now being labled the lazy guy this was nearly worse than the back pain . Thanks for the vids 👍 🇬🇧

When I went to P.T. for a couple of months, my pain flared up. I was actually scared, before going, that I would have a flare up because that’s what happened to me in 2016. Pain got worse. Dry needling caused a flare up for SIX days and I had a horrible headache behind one eye and the top of my shoulder. All the various physical therapists that I saw asked me what I do to relax and to remember to deep breathe. Asked me when my last massage was because my muscles are so tight. I stopped going after the dry needling episode and stumbled upon this information a few weeks ago.

Hi Alex, Your story resonates with me, I went thru the "same" thing at 33 years old. Every time you laugh as you tell of your experience I feel like crying which is part of repression of emotions. I did a lot of crying during the first few years. Thank you for having the courage to share your story.

I love these stories of getting better. Although I get triggered hearing them sometimes. Dan, is there a way if you so inclined to put time stamp on when the story goes from the list of problems to when it resolves ? I really appreciate you and your channel ❤
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, my work load is so busy that once I record it, I do not listen back to the whole interview and do any additional work on organizing the content. I believe it's best to listen to the whole story so you have the context of the experience. As for being triggered, building resilience to other peoples stories is really important. Just remind yourself that their story is NOT your story.

Hey Dan, I’ve been on the TMS path for about a year now, mainly with IBS (have gotten over my back pain/sciatica but not IBS). Your videos have been super helpful through the process for me, but digestive issues are tricky. Just wondering, how often do you see success stories like Alex’s for people with IBS/reflux type symptoms?
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 11 ай бұрын
It's pretty common. Digestion is suppressed when in stress. That allows reflux and symptoms called IBS to occur. Stressing out about a stress induced condition is like pouring gas on the fire and wondering why it won't go out. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bOCRZcyFp56ok6c.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pt-Rf8J7xs3aj4U.html&pp=gAQBiAQB kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jrpleqqrqMzek6c.html

Hey Dan Can facet arthropathy pain also go by following Dr Sarnos approach
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
facet arthropathy pain is a medical diagnosis. The rule of thumb is to see if those "defects" are the cause of the pain or symptoms or not. Take the pain test. If you score 30 or above, that means your symptoms are behaving like they are created in the brain and not from a structural defect. If TMS - the body is not the cause. I'm not debating the imaging study. What I might suggest is that what you see on the image is not the cause of the pain. Take the pain test: YourPainTest.com

@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
@@harshparekh5033 I am not a doctor, nor do I track statistics on medical diagnosis. However when I google asymptomatic facet arthropathy, this comes up. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6547401/ A score of 38/39 means that the medical diagnosis is irrelevant. Your brain is creating the pain, not your body.
