I liked it because it was different. Although it looks a nightmare to drive with few reference points and such a wide track

I remember it was so difficult ot drive on it in Indycar Racing II (by Sierra, 1995) because of the same color of the surface. Compared to that in AMS 2 this track is piece of cake)

Was power steering introduced for 2002 season? As this car looks so much easier to turn than watching videos from 2001

dont know about power steering but they got traction control for 2002

No it does not have power steering. Lots of things can change how "easier to turn" the wheel can be. things such as steering angle, caster angle, camber angle, toe angle, tire pressure and suspension setup can effect the way the wheel feels and how easy it is to turn. Not to mention having different chassis and aero with different weight and weight distribution ratios.
