The first in a multipart series about the one and only Arri Alexa, the go to choice for high end cinematography. In this series I will cover everything about the camera from setting it up properly, all of the settings/menus, the financial aspects of the camera, how to make money with it, how and where to buy, with cash, or utilize a loan to help you acquire a package, everything I have experienced with it over the past 2 years. An epic overview. Part one is a deep dive into the menu system and will provide you with everything you need to know to get the camera up and running and operational. You will be able to fully operate the camera and start shooting with it after watching this video. As always, hit me up with any questions and let me know if there is anything else you want to hear about in the upcoming videos over the next 2 weeks in this series. As mentioned in the video, we are specifically looking at the Alexa mini LF, but all of what is discussed and nearly all of the menu operations will transfer over to all other Alexas and at a minimum prepare you significantly to operate any one of the cameras.

I seen a video of a cinematographer comparing arri Alexa to the sigma fp. In the subtitle he said the sigma fp had no difference in color and compared side by side they looked identical, even more identical then your comparisons with the fx3. I hope the fp comes across your radar one day and you do some test with that camera compared to your Arri. Your test are fire!

@bruce gaines no exactly the same but the colors were. Type sigma vs arri. There was a whole article about how sigma has more color Accuracy Then a sony Venice. The arri vs fp is in Spanish. Go watch now

So all the recording formats, ProRes/Arriraw are Arri LogC? Or is ArriRaw different from Arri LogC

all recording formats are LogC :)

@@BlaineWestropp1 oh gotcha, so the only difference is that you can change color temp and stuff in Arri Raw(raw tab)

@@volaksin5842 yes, and also arriraw is uncompressed so the quality is very high. it is higher quality than prores, but still in logc. you can change the metadata (temp, tint, EI, and more) in resolve with arriraw as well!
