ALEXANDER CORES - Alexander Cores began his studies in Moscow under Professor Michael Press. Later he went to Berlin where he graduated from the Academy of Music. In the same capital he studied under Professor Willy Hess and later became his assistant. Arriving in this country, he won the artist scholarship at the Juilliard Graduate School of Music where he was the pupil of Professor Leopold Aver and Paul Kochanski. Mr. Cores had a very successful European tour and after making his debut in New York, played many successful concerts in the Middle West. He has appeared on a coast to coast network over CBS in a series of weekly violin solo recitals. He also has been heard over the same network with the Dorian String Quartet which he organized and in which he is the first violinist.
