I kind of comes naturally though as a swede speaking English. I do it too, and a lot do. The melody of the English language vs for instance the swedish are so different so it feels weird to switch to the swedish melody mid sentence just to say your name. Which will be pronounced wrong by the other person any way, and swedes hate that kind of awkwardness. 😅😅

A somewhat old fashioned and convoluted (but perfectly legitimate) sentence to be used when a student steps out of line would be: "Nu är det kokta fläsket stekt! Du har satt din sista potatis och kommer få dina fiskar varma!" Directly translates to "The boiled pork is now fried! You have planted your last potato and will have your fish warm!" In essence, and in that situation, this would mean: "I have reached my limit! You are way over the line and you're due for punishment!" NOTEWORTHY: These are old proverbs, and I cannot imagine this sentence being said in a classroom today, but back it up about 40 or 50 years, and it might have happened! :)

As a Swede living abroad and my husband not being Swedish, I can say that my husband's favourite word is fika. By the way fika, is not just coffee or tea, it's all that high calorie cakes and cookies that goes with it.

Mon Soymon in north of sweden it’s called go’ fika when you ad cookies and cakes 😂 It doesn’t excist in the south (or not when I lived there in 2009) 🤔. I thought “GO’fika” was such a ugly remake on “Fika” when I moved here.. 😅 And especially with a north accent.. 😖😅
