The tutberidze brand is falling apart. Sasha was wise to leave for the sake of her health. Let us now list all the skaters who have had injury who became worse not better under Tutberidze…. Medvedeva, Tutsynbaeva, Trusova, Kostornaia, usacheva, Lipnitskaya, What happened to Khromykh and Scherbakova?

I don’t understand what is the big deal about someone changing their coach. It’s not the first time it has happened in figure skating nor will it be the last time. The only thing newsworthy here is she switched coaches for her health. Usually when a skater changes coaches it’s because the new coach has a reputation of coaching more medal winners than the other coach. And for people who think changing coaches is a big deal, what about all the pair or dance figure skaters who have competed at world competition with one partner one year, and a few years later are back competing with a different partner?

I think it's the right decision for Sasha. It has nothing to do with the Olympics. Sasha likes to work with different coaches. He's of age now and must understand his own limitations.

Smartest thing she could have done !!!!! I mean it's not like russians are going to compete internationally any time soon so why would she need the eteri bonus ??? which itself could also not be a thing anymore ... since she is now THAT AGE it only seems natural to runaway from eteri if she wants to skate for a long time.

En mi opinión la razón por la que Trusova deja a Tutberidze no tienen nada ver con el patinaje artístico. Las razones de Trusova son de tipo personal, no relacionado al deporte. En fin, Trusova es libre de decidir con el entrenador que desea trabajar y solo depende de lo que ella decida. Espero le vaya bien con su nueva entrenadora y pueda seguir compitiendo en el patinaje artístico ruso 👍 Nota: Para los que siguen insistiendo en que Trusova se va por qué Tutberidze se enfoca en sus otras Patinadoras junior o por que con Tutberidze se va a lesionar... Such a good news for her in my opinion and an exemple to follow ! She has been top level but back injury, Eteri pushing her18 yo body to nonsense ... Doesn't it reminds you of someone ? I'm happy she cares about her health first and hope she does great and have a longer carreer and no permanent back hancicap like Evegenia Medvedeva. Eteri only leaves her girls with mental and physical traumas and handicaps... Plus, feeling let down by team Tut for not achieving gold at the Olympics, she may have felt the same urge for change and new push from someone who actually believes in her, rather than being used as a threat/pressure for other girls in her team, while not winning golden medals. It's about time she changes ! I like how her skating develops in choreography (I used to hate her technically impressive robotic moves at her debut in the adults competition, but I like her interpretation now, so it's really a question of what is the intention and focus on in training ! Figure skating is called "artistic skating" in French and this is for a reason good reason, it's not just a sport but an art. I hope she grows even more in this direction with her New coach).

Thank you for the vid! As always a positiv spirit to almost everything. When something big happens, there is always a need for speculation. I'm no different. For me the progress is natural. Like education. Where different coaching teams have their special focus. With top grades from middle school (developed jumping technique and mastering the triples) you may be accepted to JUNIOR high at Tutberitze. Work hard and you continue to SENIOR high in the team (Plushenko was a good private to fill some gaps for Sasha). Tutberitze does not yet offer university when that time comes. Maybe some day with the raise of age limit? Either you go to someone who offers this, or you end your education. I think this step means Sasha has choosen to continue, and I think she has what it takes to reach the master level. To make her choises concerning her career only to be close to her boyfriend? Not likely.

With the upcoming Tutberidze girls..I don t think we will see Trusova on the podium anymore..probably she will not skate for medals anymore. Let's be honest ,she achieved everything till now under Tutberidze..I m not saying that Tutberidze has the best training methods..but ...she started losing while she was at Pluhenko, went back to Tutbeberidze, won a silver Olympic medal,and than ,out of a sudden she doesn't give a sh.t and leaves again..right after she already had a nice choreography at the test skates....Something is not right..

Very sad 😢 Eteri is a genius Trainer and Sasha got all her titles under her supervision, her last two Olympic programs were phenomenal! ✨ Of course it's not easy to work in this group - huge competition and Sascha likes to be the only Star.. She will regret about it as Alena Kostornaja (also extremely talented) does now.
