“Don’t shoot a million” is probably the most positive self talk I’ve ever heard on the first tee 😂 “The BFG’s nostril” is now my favourite line I’ve heard from you! Love that book and read it to my class every year! As for the golf, I thought your short game was very tidy, and when you trusted your aim point you made a lot of putts! That course has a fairy tale feel to it! Loved the format as well. Always good stuff Al!!

Good video, I take a group of juniors out mid week for handicap score cards, so 3 +1. The Peasant joke was one I use plus a joke on Deer on the fairway "on deer fans, step a side!" : ) "Fans of yours?" to the juniors. Basically I try to push the fundamentals, keep them relax and enjoy : ) Also get them to reset after duff shot. All is not lost.Reward? Someday they will pass me and tip a hat!

Yeah I miss Tommy too! It’s a strange one because it really changes the dynamic of the video with someone filming I feel. Seems more personal when I self film - could be wrong 😂

@@alexetchesgolf I like the personal aspect of the self-film, don’t get me wrong…and it’s a perfect example of when your personality really shines through…those course vlogs were some of the best collaborative content you and Tommy did together, though…so it’s a mixed bag of emotions over here relating to these course vlogs….regardless though, love this format and defo would love to see a road to the Open format like this, bud!

Only way to shoot good scores is with a really good short game. There's just no other way. I shot 39 recently with only 1 green hit in reg and bogies on both par 3s, but i had 6 up-n-downs and averaged 1.3(33333) putts. Iron game and tee shots were below average to say the least but if you're only having 12 putts per 9 it's going a long way to saving the round.
