The people who made this movie knew exactly who they were aiming for when they put both Hawkgirl and John Stewart in it and I appreciate them greatly for it.

I honestly don’t see it. Yes they put them both in the film, but there’s no romantic chemistry or setup for them at all in the film. Honestly, she had more chemistry with Adam Strange than John.

I love how all of the League members in this movie are from my dream roster. Martian Manhunter, Vixen, Green Arrow, John Stewart as Green Lantern and Shayera Hol as Hawkgirl. It's like this was a lowkey homage to JLU.

Love that her mace doesn’t have spikes cause the animators can actually allow her to hit the opponent.

Hawkgirl was one of my favorite characters in the DCAU. She was an alien like Superman and Manhunter, she's a love interest for John Stewart, a big sister figure for Flash, and a great foil to both Wonder Woman and Vixen. Love the new design here. Abs for the win.

Same, she also had the most personality (so many quotes I can remember from the top of my head). Even her voice actress Marie Canals/Barrera enjoyed the role.

The John in this movie definitely felt inspired by the DCAU John Stewart with some influencing elements from the Arrowverse character John Diggle.

Shayera clearly the muscle on this team. Though when shes not pre emptively attacking, shes almost Vulcan in her rationality & analytic mindset. Just dont give her that 2/3 likely impression that youre a threat. You may not have a GL around to save you. Nice touch that the Nth metal mace in determined motivated hands can smash through even a power ring construct. Presumably from any colour of ring. They need to keep that in canon.

I agree since that mace appears to boast considerable weight to be wielded effectively. It doesn’t generate electricity like the DCAU version. Plus her aerodynamic maneuvers proved superb enough to close into her opponent.

You shouldn’t say that about a girl who is several times stronger than a human. In JLU I saw her bench pressing 2000 pounds and is had altered graivity on it which means it was probably heavier

We get no backstory on the Black Lantern shes fighting? Who is apparently of the same race as Shadow Lass of the Legion? The abs are the true superpower here and with this fighting style it us clear why neither Thanagarian gender wears anything on midriff.

The abs are genetically enhanced to be laced through with spider silk like reinforcement. Basically tougher than Kevlar. But still sensitive enough that enthralled enemies try to lick them...which is when they discover the freeze on contact capability that traps their tongue. The Nth metal mace is so handy at that point.

I hated this movie. Everyone gets to be the hero in their orgin story all but the black hero suddenly he needs saving from everyone 😅even though he's a killer solder 😅
