I don't know what facial expression there could be for that. She's monitoring her left-right coordination and where she is in the piece. There is no facial expression for that that I know of. If you are string bending and putting vibrato into a single note, you can allow your face to express that note or that feeling, because that is basically simplistic compared to this. The complexity here requires a focus that isn't like Santana doing vibrato on a single note. Santana, love the guy, but he couldn't hold this girl's bra strap and even he would admit that.

Honest to God. This is the single greatest performance on guitar in the history of mankind. The effortlessness of it, the perfection in every single note (over 2,000 from what I read elsewhere), half the time not even looking at the guitar...it's indescribable. It's genius. It's unfair to every other guitarist that's been playing for 20+ years.

Yeah I hate it that Kerry King and people cannot play live gigs without having the piece of music in front of them. Means they stand so rigid. If metal guitarists could move and headbang instead of being like statues. I remember seeing Opeth and thinking the exact same!!! Its called practice. She, before recording, will have practiced until she was happy. She isn't that good. Or bad. She is doing something any guitarist can learn to do. And worse... She hasn't written a damn thing! I know a guitarist. AMAZING. He can play ANY song. I am talking even technical shit like Necrophagist. He can sweep like there is no tomorrow.... But he cannot write for shit. That makes him a good guitar player but technically a bad musician. I would need to see the lady play something a little more... Well... Harder. If you guys think this is really "amazing" you clearly aren't guitarists... Or worse... You are but just old rock. I grew up playing Van Halen, Yngwie and Steve. Now if she can write a song with as much soul as "Black Magic Woman" or something as technically proficient as say... Meshuggah or Gorjira then fine. But right now she is doing Karaoke with a guitar.
@nickarmitt4722
@nickarmitt4722 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheClassicWorld That means nothing. Just that she should be better at writing if she has been learning for that long. COB and Opeth are classically trained. Opeth infuse folk, classical, jazz and blues along with rock and metal.. And even death and black metal. That is talent. COB use guitars and a keyboard player that duel. They also have videos where the vocalist/guitarist and their other guitarist play classical music. It's from like 10 years ago. And they actually did a medley. The best way I can put this is... Technically Jazz-Fusion is talent. A lot more than say... Sex Pistols. Yet... They observe intelligence and talent in the fact they have earworm songs. They use music theory without being taught it. Anarchy in the Uk and God Save The Queen aren't great songs... But "technically" they are more liked than say... bands like An Endless Sporadic. This for me is what is bad about modern music and KZfaq... It exposes so much wrong. Classical musicians, of which I am one having played with the NYO (national youth) as a kid (Clarinet), are always presumed to be amazing. They aren't. It just means they have had lots of lessons and been taught from a young age. I give more respect to the likes of Kurt Cobain than someone that has been learning 20 years and still cannot compose a piece of music and instead relies on using classical music ... Things evolve over time. IF she can play the fully Harry Potter Suite I would be impressed... But she is playing something that has been played by classically trained musicians up and down the world. PS. If you think this is SOOOO amazing, then watch someone play it on a Cello or a violin. Something without lovely fret markers and without lovely spacing made to play quickly. It is easy to transpose and compose from piano to guitar. That is why you can find so many videos of people playing music from movies, TV and games on a bass or guitar. Like always though, we praise the car and not the inventor. We praise the driver and not the engineer. We praise the decorator but not the architects.

@nickarmitt4722

... Really? Except Beethoven used accents as well as using sustain and staccato for effect. Tapping lacks any of this and is actually really east. Ask any metal guitarist. I learned how to play shit like this when I was 15 - you just need practice and a guitar with a decent neck and a have a nice action on the guitar. Maybe to the uninitiated it is technically amazing. If you have only ever listened to Nickleback and Green Day this is amazing. If you listen to Korn and Shitknot then this is amazing. But anyone that has listened to the likes of old In Flames and Arch Enemy know this really isn't. Both bands use all the same techniques used here... But they use it in songs they write and fused genres, like how old IF used to infuse Scandinavian folk. That is musical talent. This is just the same as me playing smash mouth or rush on Piano. I mean... This is the musical equiv of being in a boy band... You have talent but can't write your own music.

When humans direct that much focus to one particular task, extra things like facial expression are left running pretty much in neutral. I've watched countless Tina S reaction videos and the average response has been dumbfounded speechlessness. Most of the time I've had to wait a full thirty seconds after the lightning speed guitar playing ceased before the reactor came to their senses enough to say something "brilliant" like, "Jeez, that was good wasn't it?" Actually, their silence spoke more eloquently about what they experienced than words ever could. This is what I think happens to us while watching Tina S covers. Our brains begin to roast when 450 degrees of Tina S quadruple-speed guitar virtuosity is applied to them. We have to hit the stop button every thirty seconds to allow a cooling process to take place lest our brains sizzle out of control and melt. Tina S is performing guitar shredding impossibilities right before our very eyes. Hence, our confusion. Tina S, in our minds, is just too dang young to be playing that good! The average person can't swallow the theory that practice alone got her to that level of amazingness. A gift from God? Probably. At least that's my view. There have been two good Tina S reaction responses that caught my eye. 1. I think the "S" in Tina S stands for SPED UP! 2. "Watching Tina S play should be the easy part and her playing should be the hard part. But my experience was that watching her was the hard part because her playing appeared to be the easy part." Weird. But true. Afterthoughts. Tina has been negatively accused of being emotionless while playing. Granted, she doesn't gush with emotion like your average rock guitarist but here are three reasons why she acts that way. REASON 1. Tina S is NOT a rock guitarist. She's a classically trained guitarist. Notice how she has her guitar propped up on her left leg. Classical guitar style all the way. Classical guitarists are prim and proper and subdued on stage. Tina is probably mimicking the great classical guitarist Segovia's expression while playing not Angus Young's. By the way, Tina IS expressing emotion, it's literally pouring out of her instrument. REASON 2. Tina is not performing on a rock stage with 30,000 lunatic fans expecting guitar virtuosity and gobs of emotion. She is performing in a simple studio with one cameraman as her audience. She doesn't need to perform rock star stunts like playing the guitar with her teeth, or setting it on fire, or biting off the heads of bats. She's just playing the damn thing! Better than anyone that I've ever seen. REASON 3. The third reason why Tina isn't showing emotion is because what she's doing is easy. Yes, easy. How much emotion do you show while tying your shoe laces? Zero. Right? Why? Because tying your shoes is easy. You don't grimace and squint and bite your lower lip while tying your shoes because you don't need to and it would be weird if you did. Tina doesn't grimace and squint and bite her lower lip while shredding the guitar because she doesn't need to. The end.

She is a prodigy. Born with music already wired in her mind. This is more common than you might think. It is like the universe records all knowledge and then dumps some of it into a childs mind. The universe is a very strange and mysterious thing.

Social media can be tuff on some people. Sadly I haven't seen much from her in a few years, because people were ripping on her which is baffling to me. Perhaps jealousy by people who couldn't even hold a guitar? I hope she re emerges at some point. Take care ✌ Oh, and it's time for another reaction to the Holy Trinity aka RUSH. She originally started playing classic guitar. You can see that based on the position of the guitar over her leg. And her concentration is a common characteristic of classic music players. She is French as her music teacher and the guitar manufacturer. Rumors say she didn’t managed very well the sudden success. Hope she comes back soon with new videos
