But honestly at first it was like friend (Roope) just helps with few gigs but suddenly the year passed fast "oops, what happened". Well do you want to join us?" How your membership was officially sealed? Roope: "Well, it was during the 3rd American tour last year and in a one beautiful day it was decided in a bus while drinking: "Well, let's just stay this way" "Do you really want to stay in this band?" "Well truth in the dick (ofcourse :D )" just kidding Alexi: But officially he was baptized in Wacken 2004 Was there fireworks and cakes? Alexi: Well no, but probably just poured some vodka on the skull :D But it's the tought that counts. You are both outstanding guitarists. Will the studio sessions go to just shredding? Both: Ofcourse! :D Roope: There it goes when you just shred and polish, perkele Alexi: Not only that but ofcourse there is shredding. I think it's part of this kind of music and if you can do it, why hide it? But you can't say that we don't want to show anything. Especially if you train in the cellars until your head turns blue, and after you learn it, why would you hide it? Kind of And you (Alexi) have listened to Roope and learned from his playing, do you (Roope) ever feel like "No, let me show you how it's done"? Roope: Well not really. Alexi: But a little Roope: A little yes, we have quite same styles but we ain't just the same. You both have a custom guitars. Do you get to be part of the planning process? Both: Yes, yes Alexi: It's depends what you want for it, from what kind of wood, color and all tiny details. Roope: Just what you order :D You are going to Australia next. Gigs are getting sold out already. Why this happens? Are you selling a lot of discs or is internet a part of that? Alexi: We haven't really sold that many copies in there but this last cd HCDR has sold more than earlier records. And you really can't tell a thing from record sales because that internet thing is what it is with downloads. At least Sydneys 2 gigs are sold out I'm not sure about others Roope: They are quite small venues, something like 750 capacity or so. Alexi: Yeah yeah, but here in Finland we have to tell it's about 7000 :D Roope: Yeah it's pretty yes. There is a lot of bush radios :D Soon we know how your Living Dead Beat positions in the Finnish album charts, but do you like Bon Jovi? Alexi: Until the New Jersey album I liked but after that it went totally down to hand shakes :D You were not in the charts at all :( Alexi: That's a bummer but it was nice to visit anyways :D thanks thanks Congratulations! Your album is now the number 1 in the charts and it dropped The Rasmus down. Alexi: Sorry Rasmus :D One for that *fist bumb* How are you feeling? Alexi: Thanks thanks Roope: Pretty fun One 13 year old kid I know told that he can't listen to Bodom because it's a trendy band in the school and everyone listens to it :D Alexi: A trendy band? Roope: I hope a Dingo (old finnish "boy band") phenomenon won't happen :D How it feels to be a favourite band for high schoolers? Alexi: Hell, it's amazing. Roope: I liked WASP when they started when I was in that age Alexi: :D That was probably kind of a trendy band. Did you have that "circular saw jockstrap"? Roope: Yes yes :D You are now going to tour to Japan, Australia, America and in Finland too. Can you keep the booze cap closed? Both: No. Not at all :D Now music video of In Your Face. It was filmed in east Berlin. What kind of video it is? Alexi: It's pretty basic heavy video, where dudes are moshing in industrial area. But I think the quality is like a movie. Production company has also filmed Rammstein videos and stuff. It looks really cool and that place looked like I don't even want to know what was made there. Roope: It was something like an old metal melting factory - probably some tiger tanks been built there. Quite harsh looking place. Closed at the end of the war. Thank you for visiting.
