Actually the double voice alexinho did in the middle of the beat it was new and the first one did it was tow h in his elimination in the same event so alex practice it and did him dirty so that's why they're going crazy

There's actually a LOT of backstory and legacy around this battle lol Two H got 2nd at GBB 2014 to Dharni, and then developed some crazy sounds while doing his mandatory 2 years in the Korean military. There's videos of him in 2015-2017 that blew everyone's minds at the time (and I'm pretty sure even now, not many people now can do his demon bass) His 2017 elimination round showcases more than this battle, idk if you watched that. One of the biggest storylines of this battle was the double voice Two H does at 2:32; it's really hype when he does it for the first time on stage during his elim. At the time it was brand new, but Alexinho was able to do it at 15:58. Apparently Alexinho happened to overhear Two H demonstrating it to another beatboxer, Madox, when they were just hanging out before the competition, and Alexinho was able to figure out how to do it for this battle. He's another legendary battler, who like Dlow, is very talented at copying other techniques. Also, in this battle he structures his second round very well; he doesn't just go straight for the double voice, but works it into a really nice buildup and drop. That's why everyone goes ham at 16:00. You'll see references to Two H's second round all over the place, even in completely unrelated beatbox videos lol. It's very groovy and catchy like you said, and he does a couple unique sounds that might not sound super powerful but are quite hard to do consistently and together. On top of that, he adds the tennis ball sound that Alexinho did in his 1st round. So even though Alexinho won this battle, Two H's 2nd round is the most legendary battle round ever. I feel like I'm missing something - there's definitely people more knowledgeable than me who can explain too.

Another cool thing about starting from back then and working forward; You get to also see the progress Scott Jackson makes as an MC and Host.
@waacher3 ай бұрын
This is a very hot take but I actually don't like him as a host; he says the same few phrases the exact same way over and over at every single competition lmao. Other events, especially in Asia, have MCs that come across way more natural and hype IMO
@TheDeadStretch3 ай бұрын
@@waacherWell he is a Host for the crowd so he gives them what they want. That's getting them to chant all the catchphrases from all the different languages. You can literally go to any beatbox video and you'll see countless comments that's just "Ech?!"
@waacher3 ай бұрын
@@TheDeadStretch I'm not talking about the different catchphrases, I'm talking about how he announces competitors (he gets names wrong quite often too) and gets the crowd to cheer. Any host with enough knowledge of the beatbox scene can yell the same catchphrases and references anyway. Esh is just a beatbox thing from before Scott. Even BBK is a better host, when he hosts smaller events or stuff like 7 to Smoke, he makes interesting references and just has great overall stage presence. Scott comes across as awkward cuz he resorts to the same few phrases and repeats them almost in a robotic way. He's a great guy and I appreciate his involvement in the scene, but I feel like there are better hosts. Fredy Beats is another guy who has more charisma and handles the mic well.
@aanirv3 ай бұрын
@waacher What Scott Jackson did as a host, wasn't that simple bro. Even he did just 123 in different languages, wasn't that simple as you think.
@aanirv3 ай бұрын
And he has more charisma than the other MC/host. BBK and Fredy Beats is more the informal way to be the host (funny way). And they're good tho.

Alexinho is the counter goat, I think his gretest counter ever was against Pacmax in the french championship, its the best battle ive ever seen.

@@KDretheGreat it was in 2020, pacmax vs alexinho. The mixing in the official video is mid cause we dont hear too much basses and the crowd too, but there is an other video of a dude who filmed it from the crowd so we can see how crazy it was. I think you can find this video quite easily
