Uses the Check Hook better than anyone I have ever watched. Constant control of his opponents. His jab and lightning fast 1-2 is deadly.

My God, that body punch by Arguello to put Royal down for good is as good a punch as I have ever seen. Arguello was truly one of the greatest fighters of all time. And a class act to boot!

アルゲリョはニカラグアの貴公子と呼ばれていて、確かに端整なマスクとスタイリッシュなボクシングスタイルの持ち主だったが、エスカレラ戦やこの試合などを観戦して感じたのは、イメージよりは被弾が多いと言うことだ。リカルド・ロペスのようなボクサーほどディフェンスは良くない。ただし左強打は特筆ものだ。エスカレラ第２戦では左フックでエスカレラを文字通り吹き飛ばした。この試合も左ボディブローがロイヤル小林にめり込む様は凄まじい。

アルゲロの最大の欠点は相手に打たせすぎることだと思う。身長とリーチに恵まれているのだからもっとヒットアンドアウエーのアウトボクシングをするべきだったと思う。プライヤー戦でもヒットアンドアウェイの戦い方をしていれば勝っていたと思う。

Hopefully one day Aron Pryor will have the balls to admit he and his crooked lying ass trainer cheated. Argeullo was a great boxer but even greater man. RIP

benthemiester everyone already knows Aaron Pryor was on steroids and coke. One of his training partners confessed that the special mix in the bottle was what they give to people with asthma to open the lungs.

I hear you, thing is what abt 2d fight 10 months later? Stopped him in 10, Steward was head trainer. Bottom line was both were damn good and were in tremendous shape regardless. Arguello was a lil past his prime then, he had also fought 3 times that year before their 1st fight which is insane. Nowadays clowns fight once a year, twice if we are lucky. AA was gonna go hard for 15 rounds, never took a round off as to say he was saving himself for the "championship rounds" 10 to 12 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. Alexis is my favorite fighter, his skill set, conditioning out the roof and style in his peak of the late 70s were out of this world.

@PhoenixIceable Panama Lewis was his trainer and was well known for dosing his fighters. In the first fight while in the corner, you can clearly hear Lewis telling his assistant not to give Pryor that water, but to give him the bottle he/Lewis mixed earlier.
