@@user-ns6ze6gk6x considering Alexis is 20yo (and had a lot of health issues in the past years) and did win the first set here (he has also beaten Fan Zendong when he was no°1) the future doesn't look that bad. Liang Jingkun was better today.

Liang Jingjun shut the door and locked it up with his spinnier backhand. Crazy how stable he is. The reverse pendulum was the cherry on top. Too much for Alexis' wilder game.

First game lebrun was aggressive and attacking for his shots. After that he was punching ball instead of aggressive loops and leaving ball to high on returns. He'll get it one day

It was not his time yet I guess, he needs to evolve his game and train more. The level of chinese players are just way too high. He has beaten FZD and Lin Shidong before. But the statement of “making chinese tremble” is something out of a dream 😅

That wouldn't mean he ought to win each of his matches anyway, and it's already the final of the tournament... Alexis Lebrun was 14th worldwide and went down recently to 35th but he'll quickly go back up with a more suitable ranking (being a finalist here already). Right now Alexis is not on par with those top4 chinese player (his brother Félix is no°5) but the 'making Chinese tremble' or similar things probably started after he beat world no°1 Fan Zhendong at home in China. He isn't unknown to them.
