@@dominiksagan9622 It was confirmed by a blue post Blizzard made. They also gave a full timeline following the Opening of the Dark Portal. In addtion, a summary of the blue post on WoWHead gives a summary of the post. According to it, Shadowlands last 2 years, and it was also stated that the time in Shadowlands is a little off then what we have. If you want, I can link you the summary.

Just imagine living in Azeroth with all these near world ending events. There are literally no more stakes to invest yourself in, because there'll be another expansion in a couple of years where a new enemy you've never heard of will show up and threaten to destroy Azeroth. Peak story telling.

Most stories have multiple events over and over again to keep them going, a great example I can think of is the show Supernatural. Although I agree that a great story has a solid arc, these types of games and shows can't support 1 single arc...

They keep talking about Iridikron's "hunger." I already know that there was plans for the Primal Incarnates to have initially been adherents of Galakrond - believing that they should rule over mortals rather than the other way around. I also know that in the old Aspects novel that gave us Galakrond's lore, some Proto-dragons tried to side with the giant and emulate him in an attempt to curry favor and protection. I wonder if Iridikron was such a dragon...

In the cinematic where Raszageth is freed, she actually acts and sounds like a menacing villain. She had a certain calm to her. I don't know why she was portrayed like a cartoon villain for the rest of game tho.

Wrathion is the one responsible for freeing Garrosh from jail and creating an alternate Draenor. The alternate Draenor is what ultimately led to Gul'Dan rising to power again and killing off Varian

Basically the events of alternate draenor are directly linked to Wrathion, he is seen as the one who initiated the entire plan and for some reason the blame of the following events (WoD and Guldans power) are put onto him. He was the catalyst for the WoD expansion

the expansion should had been about Vampyrs and the new races should had been Vampyr and the new class Vampires . I know the death knights hold blood magic but that did not stop Blizzard from doing something similar with the demon hunters when they stripped warlocks of their ultimate.

Only thing that irks me: No real feeling of the passing of time. I mean they're saying that Shadowlands was YEARS ago and that Anduin has been missing all this time. Why not put in a short sequence in the cinematic, that depicts that?? Otherwise it feeels shoe horned in and kind of weird.

The only reason Gul'dan managed to emerge into our timeline is thanks to Wrathion helping the bronze dragon Kairozdormu release Garrosh Hellscream and take him to old Draenor. Had Wrathion not saved Garrosh, the third legion invasion would not have happened for maybe another thousand years

Frankly Raszageth looks tame after we dealt with Deathwing and Co. already. Problem with Raszageth and the primalists is that they're lame. As villains, I find them more annoying than arresting.

I don't even get why they are a threat. The aspects are empowered by the titans. The primalists are supposed to be the dumb protodrakes that were pretty much just beasts. There has to be a bunch of missing story to make this make sense.

At this point, is Azeroth even worth saving after saving it soooooo many times? Think what’s on the mind of the average Alliance soldier. How exhausting it must be.

They should just destroy Azeroth at this point and have players begin from scratch. Perhaps a similar theme to the collapse of the Golden Age from Destiny where Humanity at it's height of technology was wiped out overnight, and basically reverted to another Dark Ages, but only with guns.
