I miss the days when Marvel was darker during the 2000s, as in my opinion, it led to some of their most unique content. Not all successful, but unique nonetheless. I never understood or respected Ennis' hatred for superheroes. There's plenty of mature ways to tell a superhero story, but he chooses "edgy teen" almost all the time. I also believe if you hate superheroes, you hate a significant part of comics. It's wild to me that someone can get popular while rejecting a large part of the comic genre. Ennis might not even have gotten as popular as he did if he wasn't writing in the 00's, the edgelord decade.

ppl like OP will never understand that sometimes 'it isn't what it seems' a such common misconception that the Public Opinion loves to make about Ennis is that he hates Superheroes... because he hates Superheroes......😐 he doesn't hate Superheroes for the sake of it... he still likes them especially Superman, wonder woman, batman etc. but what he hates is what's 'around' super-heroes and 'how' super-heroes came to be later throughout the ages of comics... its why in The Boys comic, he tackles on what's 'around' super-heroes and how they don't actually care about Superheroes and use them for profit which in the same way is presented in real life... the comic/superhero industry isn't sun-shine and rainbows... there's A LOT that go behind the scenes and its why Ennis wanted to deviate as much as possible but not in a hateful way in which the Public Opinion perceives The Boys comic as just the ultimate edge for the sake of edge... ppls way of thinking gets so twisted easily and thus perceiving that specific thing as Horrible and how it's just is.

I picked up this game a year or two ago and I was surprised just how well it held up in terms of graphics and gameplay. It’s by no means perfect, but it’s a hell of a fun, bloody time! And the fact that it was basically the precursor to saints row makes me love it even more! It’s a shame that we’ll never get to see that open world punisher sequel and given how Marvel has been basically doing everything in their power to reduce him to a shell of his former glory (like come on, why remove his iconic symbol just because a bunch of idiots tend to use it and give him something worse?!), I don’t think we’ll ever see another punisher game to this quality or better again.

i dont understand how you can perceive the Punishers violence as 'tame' just because its older.... sure the extreme details like the skin being ripped off and seeing layers behind it aren't there in the Punisher... but it's the context and depictions of it which is violent... ppl say this exact thing with Manhunt 1 which is just so stupid

There is on the PC. The only thing it doesn't censor is the one where you hang a black criminal in the prison level.

The saved citizen thanking him and him not even caring is the perfect distillation of that character. He genuinely is not doing this to help anyone. He's effectively a sentient gun that needs a direction to be pointed in and the general public is just lucky its criminals he goes after.
