100% true, I have a 13 year old Alfa 156 and it's impossible to destabilize it. At 230 kph it looks like driving a train! Alfa is pure driving passion, believe me ;)

i cannot believe in you, in rich countries old and rich people just by bmw because of it is previous status symbol reputation. Then poor people tries to buy 2nd hand junk bmw's and all think it is m3. Alfa made wrong at 80' because because of financial problems they did not concentrate on cars interior, because they never want to give up from it is awesome mechanics. Even alfa 75 with gearbox at the back, camshaft timing and was very robust also. and even first common rail injection was an alfa product. when vw tries pumpe-düse. look at same year made cars alfa 159 beige interior and vw golf beige interior, after 150.000 km which looks newer you will be surprised. alfa is for real enthusiastic people not for the rest of people (%75 of world population is below dumb level). German cars just showroom cars. alfa is cars to enjoy every single km.

YES in the wrong hands, ANYTHING will fall apart in even 5 years. I own a 30 year old Alfa, I drive it everyday, take good care of it and have had less problems with it than any of my other cars, MOSTLY Japanese brands.. It is very reliable, and I regularly do between 500-1000km trips in it, and love it. I also get ALOT of compliments for the car regularly. It is prettier than most modern uber expensive cars on the road today. ALFA ROCKS!!!

Lol, still writing? Don't you want to understand that you can write for years, but the images of this GERMAN test show that the 159 has the best handling between these cars? Alfa doesn't employ me, lol. I have had some recent Alfa models, I know their weakness points (interior materials and assembly quality), but I know their force points too (for example the HANDLING, like this GERMAN test shows clearly). How long do you think you can ignore the result of this test?

A few days ago I tried a 159 and a German one, which I do not name, both from 2007. Today the difference is noticeable and the build quality of the 159 comes out all!

salve non c'è commento che tenga la prova è lampante che la 159 e nettamente Superiore in questa prova e io come possessore sia di 159 che di serie 3..( le altre due non le considero auto per i miei canoni) confermo la superiore affidabilità in curva in ogni situazione è come la 159 tutte le alfa che ho avuto il piacere di possedere.. (Gt. 147.156.etc) quindi è inutile fare discussioni poi sicuramente la serie 3 avrà i suoi pregi ma per quanto mi riguarda per mie asperienza nemmeno in affidabilità e paragonabile alle 159 visto che con la 159 a 180 mila km solo normale manutenzione la serie tre a 150 mila ha già un fascicolo di fatture.. grazie a tutti forza alfa!! continua così sei il nostro vanto nel mondo!!!

Have you ever actually driven a recent Alfa? I drive a 2004 Alfa 156 Sportwagon Mk.2 with the 2.4ltr JTDm 20V engine. The brakes are almost on par with my friends 2006 BMW, the gearbox is fantastically good and the interior is first class! It is 5 years old and there are no rattles, creaks or any missing or broken components in the car. As far as the engine goes, it is absolutely fantastic, high torque levels and excellent consumption, averaging at 50mpg on a long journey, TBC....
