Very useful. My key is 13 years old now so it's a bit worn. Definitely going to replace it for a new case. I think you got this case of ebay? I think the quality was good

I got the case locally, but look for it on ebay, just make sure that the quality is good...

so hypothetically if you had another key from a different car, could you swap the Immobiliser chip and blade over would the key would still work?

Yes, all you would have to do is program the remote so you can lock/unlock the car.

Just re soldered a missing button for the trunk and replaced the casing on mine yesterday. Oh btw I need to replace my front turn signal bulbs (147 pre facelift) so how would I get the casings off? Could they just pop off or do I have to go behind the bumper or?

Not sure, didn't change it yet on my 147, but think you have to change it from behind the bumper...

@ Thanks, for some reason the wires are missing weirdly. Bumper and some other chasis parts were replaced on this car so I'll have to investigate further. Changed a rear brake light bulb today and pulled out the smelly old cabin filter, slowly getting it into shape ha

My key stopped working so i changed the battery and key is still not working i cant lock or unlock the car or open the trunk...and every time i open the car with the physical key my alarm turns on and i cant turn it off

So if i have a key without buttons can i use the inside of my shell and change to a shell with buttons so i can use it to open my doors and trunk in my alfa 156fl 2004?Or can i maybe programm a new with my old key?

Yes, you can use the transponder chip, put it in the used key with buttons, program it, and it will work. That's what I did

I have 147 my key when I press it to unlock -lock doesn’t do anything but the red light on the key blinks .. what is the problem ?

You either need to reprogram it, or you might have some issues with internals of the key...

@@arcgarage Ej a znas meni je problem iz nekog razloga da moram da pridjem skroz uz vozaceva vrata da bi radilo daljinsko zakljucavanje/otkljucavanje. Zamenio sam baterijicu ali nije pomoglo

@@goxy287 Da li ti je to problem sa jednim, ili sa svim kljucevima? Moze biti do kljuca, da je neka od komponenata pred otkazivanje, a moze biti i da je do same antene sistema koja se nalazi u autu...
