Produced from 1972 to 1987 the "Alfetta" came with many different engines. From a 1.6L 4 cylinder to a 2.8L V8.
Arguably the most desired version was the 2.5L V6 with standard 160 hp / 118 kw and 213 nm / 157 lb⋅ft.
Filmed between 2009 and 2019 at Circuit Zolder, Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring, Hockenheim and a few rallies.

I prefer both new and old cars, but what I like about the older cars is the rawness of the sound

Well put together, good sound quiality! Always nice to see the Totip gtv6 original racer show up, I spoke to its owner/driver two years ago at Zandvoort.

2:37 Itbs on that V6 is definitely upclose in the flesh. I love the way the V6 sounds then than now. All I hear V6 is Nissan VQ rattling quack from exhaust if done wrong. BTW sonorous crank from v6 can always be recognised by passion of engineering mechanics tellby the note.

@@Belgian-Motorsport Your kind of correct. I was a bit vague on the various categories. Having checked, the Colin Bond GTV6 was originally a Group E car but then was changed to comply with Group A. Alan Jones car was Group A. Ray Gulson’s Dulux GTV6 which also ran at Bathurst was a Group C car, and later in the hands of local Victorian driver Scott Farqueson was continued to be driven in that configuration in historic touring car races.

@@1240enzo Ok, I was confused about the Group C, because those are normally protoypes racing at Le Mans, Spa, Monza, ... So in Australia they had Touring class with the same name.

There were 3.0 litre cars built in South Africa for racing in the production series there. The silver car looks (and sounds) as though it's using such an engine....

I love the way that dark green one sounds. Not too crazy about the silver car with itb's. Have you got more material on the green/white Totip Group A car?

Sadly not. I think they had some problems because they did very few laps.

The Totip car sounds unlike anything else I've ever heard. it's magnificent but sadly not much footage of it here.

The Alfa white and green was sponsored by Totip that was the horse racing sports betting company. Totip hasn't existed since the 90s if I remember correctly…
