Former owner: worst car ever owned. Airbag one time exploded in my face while driving making me to create a mass chain collision on the highway with 30+ cars included. Safety belt let loose (which often happened as well on other trips. While I was waiting to be towed away in the right front seat while waiting exactly 30 min after I crashed the airbag on that side also exploded in my face. Additionally another time the exhaust fell of while driving. And another time I had a small collision because front breaks stopped working. Bought Giulia used with 20k km on it, and was total loss within the following 10k km. In comparison my second car is a Mercedes c class on which I have now 12 years feels the same as new. The insurance gave me 80% of the value of the alfa back to me. Never again

This was a terrible review. No mention of the specific reliability issues. You can’t just keep saying there are reliability issues and never back it up with facts and data. I’ve owned 5 BMWs and all had problems in the early years and after aging a few years. I have owned my 2017 Giulia TI sport for 3 years and it now has 32k miles, and yes I had a few minor issues. However, I would absolutely NOT call the vehicle unreliable. My Giulia is an amazing car that handles like none other and has been reliable. Most people indicating they are not reliable are those who have never owned one and never gathered the facts. Also, before reviewing a product learn how to pronounce the name.

I bought my Giulia Q4 in May of 2017 and I still LOVE IT 33k miles later! I have only had minor issues that were typically corrected with a software update or covered under warranty. It has never broken down and left me stranded and I don't think it ever will. The performance is amazing for a car in this price range and I never get tired of driving it. It is comfortable, gets great gas mileage, and is beautiful inside and out. I recommend the Alfa Romeo Giulia 100%!

I have (AWD) 2018 Giulia Sport TI for my wife and 2018 Giulia QV for myself. I have NO issues with either car. Just regular oil and filter changes. The reliability issues all come from "official" reviewers like yourself. Please note that the comments coming from actual owners responding to these "official" reviewers, are extremely positive about the reliability. So please "official" reviewers, STOP making comments of reliability .discussions made by other "official " You Tube reviewers. Listen to the actual owners and all their REAL comments rather than perpetuate FALSEHOODS. So, Performance On Wheels, read the comments on your channel. My 2021 has been reliable and a joy to drive. "Daily Driver" takes on a new meaning in today's work-from-home culture, but I still drive my car in all conditions and usually at a fairly quick pace on a regular basis. While not my only car, its the one I drive most frequently. It's the first car I've had in a long time that begs to be driven harder to the point where I find myself taking "the long way" to and from shorter destinations just to stretch it's legs. Dealers and parts are the only real concern. If you shop around, you can get a great price on a MOPAR extended warranty (MaxCare), but that doesn't help with parts availability. The Stellantis strike recently didn't help, and dealers are hit or miss in terms of their proficiency. I don't know if I'd want to own this car LONG term out of warranty, but as long as it's covered I have no regrets.

Hey, I got my Giulia (European version) 2.2 JTD 6 speed manual for more than a year and the only problem I had was a baterry in the remote control which I find quite understandable. The car took 4 fully packed adults through southern Europe (approximately around 600 miles) without a single issue. It also worked out very well during a track day. I have no problem to try to get 100 % out of the car. And yet, the car makes me superhappy and it stands out in middle Europe as well.

I like your passion for Alfa. Im currently in the market for a 2019 Giulia base most likely. The miles are low, I’d be getting a warranty, & the price is fair. Like a lot of people, reliability is my number one concern. I like driving vehicles with no check engine lights on or dash lights lit up. I also like not being stranded on the road. That being said, I have owned multiple BMW & 1 Mercedes’ and they weren’t exactly trouble free or cheap to maintain so I can’t see Alfa being any worse? In all my research so far I can’t seem to get an honest opinion or answer from an owner or a journalist. Either Alfa fan boys say theyre excellent cars and worth the buy, or ppl that haven’t owned them are saying their trash and a horrible investment. The car is owned and made by Stellantis so that is another thing I keep in mind…. What is your verdict on reliability?

@@brey93 Modern Alfas are so much better than people think. The Giulia ranks very high in most European reliability reports. I think it’s true that Alfas are at least as reliable as any Mercedes or BMW, possibly even better. I have now owned a Giulia and a Stelio and had no issues with either. There is never a guarantee with any car you buy, but with the looks and performance of a Giulia plus the fact you have a warranty, I think you should take the plunge and start smiling!

Thanks for commenting Carlos! We had some opinion in the video however we were just sharing what the market showed. I as much as you want to see Alfa succeed. I would buy a Guila, apart of the reason I would buy it is the bargain they are. They are raising the bar for the competition regardless of negative views. I do agree that the bad wrap plaque stated with the big name reviewers who's long term testers lead to ultimately bad reviews of the vehicles reliability in the end. That just spins out of control as folks become experts because they read a motortrend article. My research took me to the service bulletins on the car. Lots of them were silly, there was just as many that were come on guys type of things as well. Thanks for the conversation starter!

I work as a BMW genius at a bmw dealer, i daily drive a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia TI with sport pack and Q4. I love it, it has 70k miles on it, I got it used with 49k. I have an extended warranty through fiat Chrysler now stellantis till 125k miles and an addition 4 years. Any Giulia can have this extended warranty through the manufacture btw. However I’ve only used it once, for an O2 sensor. I’m around cars a lot, it’s my work, it’s my hobby, and these cars are more or less about as reliable as the modern bmw or Mercedes or Audi. I would say overall build interior quality definitely surpasses Mercedes C class (cheap class), I would say material build quality loses to BMW 3 series but not by much, and I haven’t been in a current gen A4 so I can’t judge that. My car is stock besides PS 4s and beefier rotors and pads. Am about to tune it and void my warranty, also it’s a bit to quiet and that’s been bothering me, so an exhaust is in the future. This is my forever car, I love my Giulia, this car fits me like a glove. If you want a true sports sedan imho this is the only true modern option besides CT4/5 V. M3/3 series is good, but it’s not a true sports sedan, it feels too much like a luxury car being turned into a sports sedan, and there is nothing wrong with that, just you have to know what you are getting into. If you want a Luxury car in this segment, 3 series, if you want a sports sedan, Giulia. And btw BMW didn’t invent the sports sedan, when bmw was still making the isetta Jaguar and Alfa were making the first sports sedans.

2019 Giulia Ti Sport here with 31k miles. Zero issues so far and it's my daily driver. I've had 2 scheduled oil changes with a 3rd one coming up. They don't just change the oil. They do their full check service. The oil change cost $450 bucks... so there's that to keep in mind. Also bought 4 new tires a few months ago. A few things I do to fight the reliability reputation. I turn off the engine start/stop option as that can cause battery issues, at least that's what the 2017 did . I've had a software update as soon as it was available because that was a known issue in the 2017 and 2018 models. 80% of the time, I drive in N mode (Natural mode). The other 20% is in Dynamic mode when I want to have fun. I think that's the biggest key. I don't drive my car into the ground attempting to push the performance. I don't brake hard or shoot off the line for the most part. Now don't get me wrong, I do push it occasionally when I'm in the mode. And when I do, it's awesome! It's been a dream car for me and drives like no other car in its class. I've read the same reliable issues before I bought the car but I've heard the same thing about every car out there. My desire to own an Alfa outweighed the reliability risk. So I pulled the trigger and I'm so glad I did. This is my own experience and maybe I'm a lucky one to not run into any issues. But I gotta believe, if you take care of her, she'll take care of you..and she has. It's also so damn beautiful (at least to me). I still look back at her after parking and get the most satisfying feeling. I've had countless people remark to me how beautiful she is as well. Bottom line, it's been an awesome car, gives me goosebumps even after 2 years and it makes me feel good. And to me, that's all that matters. By the way, say the name right for the Quad. It makes you both sound and look terrible. If you want an once of credibility, say the name of the car right. Just my 2 cents.

@@brey93 Overall, it's still great, no major issues. The issues I have encountered are more gripes than anything else. Here's what I've ran into. - The car has a low clearance. Much lower than I anticipated and lower than most, if not all, to other cars in its class. Again, I have a 2019 Ti Sport and she sits only 4.5 inches off the ground. Because of that, I've scraped the bottom front fender 3 or 4 times which sucked the soul out of me and almost put me in the loonie bin. On all occasions, it was either pulling into traffic at a stop or pulling off the road with traffic behind me. The culprit is when the road dips when 2 roads meet. Kinda like most home driveways when your driveway meets the main road. There's that annoying incline when you pull in and decline when you pull out. Ive always been good at angling the tires to ensure it doesn't scrape but there are some occasions when you don't have the time to go slow and angle it, especially in traffic or when in an area you don't where those dips are. So...I've ceramic coated the front bumper and below it to try and mitigate further scratches. - the check engine light has come on twice which like you, really annoyed me in previous cars. Both times happened when I let the car go below a quarter of a tank of gas. To be clear, I've let it go below that a number of times but on 2 occasions, the check engine light came on after stopping. I believe this is some kind of glitch because it went away after filling up the tank. I'm not 100% sure there's a correlation between having low gas and the check engine light coming on but it did go away after filling her up so that's my assumption. Both times I had less than 30 miles of gas left. I didn't have it checked out because "meh", but it did annoy me. - backup camera is low quality compared to its peers. You can obviously still see but not as clear or as good as others. - Tech in general could be better. The center console screen could be better designed and more intuitive but that's just my personal opinion. For example, I don't use the Bluetooth for my phone in the car because everyone said I sounded like shit. When I complained about it to my best friend, he said Italian cars are known for their performance and not tech so I'll live with that to comfort my butthurt feelings. So far, that's what I've encountered. Not perfect but not bad either. One other thing to mention, I don't take the car into the dealership for oil changes anymore. I take it to a local garage where it cost me $120. Don't let the dealership fear monger you about endangering your warranty if you take your car anywhere other than them. You can and it won't affect your warranty at all. It's law protected. I got duped with that in the beginning but grew a brain and found out it's totally fine to get the oil changed anywhere you want. She's still a "A" but not a A plus due to what I mentioned but I couldn't ask for more especially the uncertainty I had(like you) before buying her. This is my own objective experience which may be different from anyone else but I love the car and she's as beautiful as ever. One final note, we're giving the car to my daughter in December as a college graduation gift so my time with the Alfa will be coming to a sad end. From me to you, I suspect problems will arise when this happens because I drive the car good and take care of her. Not sure she will. The irony is we have a Tesla on order which (here I go again taking a leap of faith) has been reported with quality issues for some and none for others. I guess I have a thing for this type of stuff😁. Hope this helps.🤙

So the difference between the Giulia and what the Germans do is that Alfa started with the Quadrifoglio and then selectively removed little bits and pieces to get to the lower trim levels ( with the engine being the biggest difference obviously)...what the Germans do is take a run of the mill 3 / 4 Series I or entry level C class and they start spiffing them up by adding performance mods... Kind of like lipstick on a pig... There's a tremendous difference in philosophy between those two approaches and that's why the Giulia and the Giulia Quadrifoglio blow away the Germans.... I live in England, had 8 Alfas over 20 years and they are the most reliable cars I've had - seriously. The bad reputation comes from the dealership experience, they always have been piss poor and that is well known. There is also a problem with quality control at the factory so some new cars roll out with stupid little teething problems. For example sensors not connected properly, warning lights, paintwork blemishes, leaking rubber door seals, one car even had the wrong seat belts fitted from a smaller car, another had half its underseal missing from new. Combine that with a bad dealership experience and angry owners take revenge come survey time. With my cars I always service them myself, properly and on time, and mine have been fine, I even had one on its last legs that just kept going. I don't agree with the notion that they are full of cheap crappy plastic, take a look inside a Honda or Nissan. Sure its not up to some German standards but its just fine I have no complaints there. In my experience I would say that quote - 'the build quality is a bit light in places on some models' that's not to say its bad overall. I've tried owning other cars but I can't keep them for long they are just too dull and boring, all of them.

@@PerformanceOnWheels I don't have a Gulia yet, waiting for the prices to come down a bit more. I have a 2012 Giulietta multiair producing 170 bhp from the 1.4 engine. I have seen a few Gulias on the road here since they arrived in Sept 2017, but it's a bit disappointing I'd like to see more, but that's normal for Alfas in the UK, you don't see them every day which adds to the appeal. I think that many would be Gulia buyers are holding on to their money because of the electric car revolution that seems to be just around the corner it's putting everyone off buying a new car at the moment. Also there is a bit of a bandwagon against diesels now and because diesel is popular here, people are waiting to see if the government will punish diesel car drivers for pollution, but that can't begin until we get brexit out of the way, so new car buyers have another reason to wait.

I just purchased a brand new 2019 Giulia Ti Sport RWD w/Nero for $7500k less than MSRP. I read every blog and watched every vlog I could find on the car during the 3 months leading up to the purchase. I've driven almost everything in comparison and the Giulia was hands down my favorite. This is not my everyday vehicle and was really more of a passion purchase. I was a bit concerned with some of the reviews on reliability but it has an outstanding warranty of 4/50k and by the time I hit that mark I'll be in another car anyway. The Giulia is one of the only vehicles that made me smile the whole time I was test driving her and had the same smile on my face all the way home after picking it up. I'm still in my "break in" period so I haven't taken her out and given her a hard ride yet but soon! Your review is absolutely correct - she is a car made for driving. I'm not so concerned about the depreciation because I think they ironed out the bugs from the 2017s and I like the fact that I'm not driving the same car as everyone else on the road! I did hear that some changes are coming on the 2020 models to improve the displays and making some safety features standard that are currently optional. I feel that the Giulia has the best bang for the buck when you put it side by side with its competition. All I can say to anyone that is on the fence about purchasing a Giulia is to go drive one and have fun.

2017 TI Q4 Sport - one problem with the rear ac duct that was corrected when it made it's debut on the lot.... before I bought it. The plastic part around the steering column was loose, fixed by the dealer within one month. Very minor adjustment. That's the extent of it. First year on the market, two minor fixes..... one heck of a car and definitely a head turner especially from other Alfa enthusiasts who want to see them on the road.

I'm on my 2nd TI Sport ('17 and '19). They're daily drivers and have had ZERO issues except excessive tire wear (replace at 8k). I live in the foothills and drive all my cars very hard. If I compare the TI Sport to my Audi S4, BMW M3, I'd have to say I'd never go back to the german cars showroom. Audi pushed like a pig and was totally unreliable. It's not a good thing when the service guys know you by your 1st name. And the M3 was fun as heck, but they're everywhere, and they just don't handle like they used to. The TI puts a smile on my face every day. The other cars didn't. The best bang for the buck and better reliability than my wife's Lexus! That's what a modern sports car should be. By the way, the Quadrafolio is more of a weekend car, in my opinion.

I have a 2018 Giulia TI RWD. I purchased the car used coming out of a lease with 9k miles. The car was serviced at the same dealership and I have the records. No service issues other than oil chances. My Giulia ha now 35k miles and a week ago the battery went dead and spent $220 for a new one. The mechanic that replaced the battery did not hook up the positive and negative cables to a 12v source. He just removed the clamps unplugging the battery and replaced it with the new one. When I got the car it had all sorts of errors popping on the infotainment. However, as I drove the car, all systems reset themselves with no further issues. Other than that, my baby has been flawless so far! At the same time I purchased mine, a friend looking at both the Giulia and a C250 Mercedes chose the Mercedes. His car has been at the dealer twice for the infotainment screen going blank. Both times the system was diagnosed as faulty and replaced! Also according to dependability reviews Alfa Romeo is among the 10 best manufacturers. I am not sure why reliability is still mentioned as an issue with Alfas. I have other friends owning Toyotas and Nissan and Honda who have had major issues with transmission, engine replacement, ECU replacement and all cars had at most 30k miles!

What do you think of Alfa Romeo as a company?
@miks564
@miks564 3 жыл бұрын
Like you said, they're owned by FCA ...and FCA is one of my favorite in terms of mechanical reliability. I'm driving cars from almost the past 40 years (yeah, I guess I'm an old kid) and because of my aggressive driving style, pushing the revs all the way up almost every day and that mixed with a lot of traffic jam, I always look for engines that can put up with it. My favorites so far have been engineered by FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies). Those were the ones giving me the confidence to pick a 9 year old car for a 2000Km journey with the only concern being to fill up the tank. People should stop believe everything they heard and start looking instead for actual maintenance data from car leasing companies. Many would be surprised.

@@miks564 ...with all due respect, when you sit inside an Alfa there is no sharing of bits with other FCA products. As was pointed out in the video, for better or for worse, they had access to the FCA "U Connect" nav system but chose to design their own....As the owner of a 2017 Giulia Quad (with the original nav system) and the owner of a 2020 Stelvio Ti Sport with the updated system, I would agree that the newer system is nicer but it really doesn't matter much to me....I'm a car guy and as long as my nav gets me where I'm going and my stereo sounds good, that's all I care about as far as that stuff goes.....Now how the car drives, that's what counts !!!

Your enthusiasm for the Giulia and your enjoyment of the driving experience was much appreciated. It really is a wonderful car to own and to drive. Long journeys in it are enjoyable and stress free, as are city journeys. The open road is the best place to enjoy it. Performance wise it holds its own in comparison with, say, the Mustang 5 litre and the 4 litre Maseratis - a fraction over 5 seconds 0 - 60. Top speed also stands comparison. I've owned an Alfa 164 V6 3 litre, a 156 Sportwagon and a 159 Sportwagon and loved all of those cars. The Giulia Veloce is on another level. It's use of aluminium makes it very light weight compared to its rivals. Its 8 speed auto gear box (with aluminium paddle shifters) is sensational. It is beautiful, comfortable, practical and delightful. Once driven, forever smitten. Thanks to unappreciative reviews that harp on about Alfa reliability its second hand values are within reach of many more people. Folks who somehow believe other makes of car are without problems are fools to themselves. One final point - driven carefully with a light throttle on long journeys it's not difficult to achieve 38-40 miles per gallon. 7th & 8th gears are overdrive. Your Mustangs and Maseratis will give you half of that. Clearly nobody buys a Giulia in order to get maximum economy, but the Advanced Efficiency setting is worth a mention, as well as the Normal and Dynamic settings on the DNA dial.

Great video, current owner 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Q2 . Fun car , super fast and loves the turns for sure. Unfortunately sun roof had a fail and luckily it was closed but would not open. Took three weeks to get it back from dealer , what a pain it was. Luckily for me was under warranty, and no cost to me. Now unfortunately at just 43000 miles getting electric throttle warning along with auto start and stop unavailable as well and now out of warranty but have an additional extended warranty intact. Not sure what to do and how expensive it will be or if anything will be covered. Not a daily driver but I’m so disappointed so I’m not sure with such a new car and low mileage. I would suggest anybody buying one of these unless they have the money for out-of-pocket expenses.😡😳 I did research the vehicle prior to purchase with pros and cons but every car has those but decided to take the leap and definitely not many of these especially like mine on the streets. I’m on my second Giulia Q4. They’ve been amazing cars and very reliable. As someone said earlier only minor issues that were easily corrected with software updates. Not sure where you come up with a HUGE flop. They are not going to blow away huge manufacturers in sales when they’ve been out of the country for 20 years. AND LEARN HOW TO SAY QUADRIFOGlIO. You’re not that funny. I’ve owned the competitors such as Audi S4’s and BMW 3 series XDrive, and neither are as much fun to drive or feel as special. The car also gets 10X the attention from car nuts than either of the others ever got. Plus the Jag XE is as boring as heck!

Guys, love the intention, but in the end what is the reliability issue? Take a 100k miles Giulia and see what is not working. Or talk do repair shops and see if it needs repairs more often than the competition. I hear Alfas are engineered by people who made Bmw and Bentleys, so... do we have reason to say they are not reliable?
@PerformanceOnWheels

I did not think it would of been enjoyable to rattle off the nine pages of service bulletins that I printed off for my research. The bulletins out there pretty much touch every aspect of the car. (Engine/exhaust/electrical/start stop feature, abs sensor, steering) Some of the repairs sent out by Alfa are pretty funny. Wrap tape around cable so it won't slip through support, zip tie this....... It's a roll of the dice. I am sure there will be some that run 100k miles trouble free. Currently the facts are not in the reliability favor. There are rumors that new models will not have the issues the '17-'18's have been prone to. Time will tell. I want them to succeed. They will need more then wishful thinking however. Thank you for taking the time to strike up a conversation and watching! Please subscribe.

My 2020 Ti Sport is a gem, no issues after two years and 15,000 miles. What I can't understand is why Alfa doesn't give buyers the best warranty in the segment, say 5 yrs/75,000 miles, to address the perception of unreliability. Look what the improved warranty did for Hyundai/KIA!

The Guilia is a lovely looking car and growing up i loved the Alpha Romeo Spiders. What i know of Alphas is the design of them is always great, nice interior but as you mention they are cheaply built. The interior is not on same level as a Jag. I think reluability has always been a factor with Alohas. I'd have a used one but, only at a good price.

I got a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia base with 59k miles and i never had problems with it, on top of that i do my own maintenance since i purchased it in 2017. That problem that people have with these type of cars including Maserati is that they think they are expensive because the name of the car. Yes they are expensive if you don't take care of them, but they are one the most affordable luxury exotics out there, yes of course that's if you know how to do your own maintenance. People always whine and cry about maintenance being over $500 to $1000 just for oil changes and spark plugs, well let me tell you something... you an idiot if you pay over $100 for an oil change or spark plugs for the Alfa Romeo, and Maserati. Of course if you take it to the dealer they going to charge top dollar. Maserati, and Alfa technicians get paid top dollar, my advice is learn how to do your own work on this type of cars, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to change the oil, change the sparkplugs, change the brakes etc. Also you can take it to any place where the change the oil, just make sure it ain't Jiffy Lube but it doesn't have to be Maserati of Alfa dealership. They just say that so they can get your money, and ripped you off. The only time i took to the dealership it was for a software upgrade. Hey if you can afford it, then spend those $500 on oil changes, but it actually cost less then $100 to buy the filters and oil. Also cost less then $100 to have a mechanic who ain't associated with Alfa to do an oil change.

Super fun cars for sure! I think if you read through the comments from owners you will find extremely passionate people. If you are aware and ok the the chance of something being more expensive to fix if it were to break then go for it!! As far as an extended warranty I would research the crap out of the company before just buying one. They are definitely not all the same, just because the dealer offers it does not make it good. I know some folks that have been pretty happy with extended warranties they have bought through there credit unions. Good luck with school!

I think you are reading what you want to read, when you read reviews. I had a Alfa Romeo GT from 2004, and drove it around 140.000 miles, only minor problems, like windows that need to be reset and a water pump that needs to be replaced. I replaced it with the 2020 Guilia which I have been driven around 4.400 miles in, so that will be a bit to early to say something about the Guilia. On the other hand my Mercedes C-class had issues, 2 of them where the breaks suddently failed while driving. The Mercedes was newer and with fewere miles, so no more Mercedes in my driveway. In Europe they also offer 7 years of warrenty when buying a new Alfa Romeo.

Did not put enough time into the R&D....and how much time they put in? Quick...no google. Bought a a 2017 TI AWD Sport new in 2017 that I still own and love. Some stuff happened, fixed under warranty. But I can say the same about 2 Acuras, Lexus, Chevy, Cadillac, VWs etc. that I owned. Bit of luck of the draw at times, but not a pervasive issue. In fact, so not concerned that I also bought a 2015 4C a year ago, no issues. Buy it. So enjoyable to drive. Here is what consumer reports says. The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia has been noted for several reliability concerns. According to Consumer Reports, the vehicle has been recalled four times by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for issues such as brake performance, active cruise control deactivation, brake fluid leakage, and potential fire risks due to heat damage in the engine compartment¹. Owners have reported problems related to the engine misfiring, brake system, and electrical issues. It's also mentioned that while some early glitches have been addressed with software updates, battery-related issues are common². The Giulia's reliability score is concerning when compared to other vehicles in its class, with a significant percentage of cars reported to have gone wrong⁵. If you're considering purchasing a used 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia, it would be wise to review these concerns and perhaps consult with a trusted mechanic or look into the vehicle's service history to ensure that any previous issues have been addressed.

I watched your video all the way through hoping for something of value to learn from. I have to strongly disagree with your take on the cars primary value as a weekend car/not good as a daily driver. I bought a 2018 Giulia Ti Sport loaded from a dealer in May of 2020. It had 8k miles when purchased and now has 22k miles. I have had 1 incident with the software in that time and was covered under warranty it in no way would discourage me from wanting to keep the car or recommend to others. In addition, and contrary to information you provided extended manufacturer warranties ARE available from Alfa Care. It's my only car and satisfies just about everything I'm looking for in 1 car other than maybe an aggressive Italian exhaust note from the factory. I've owned an Audi A4, 2 Porsche 968s, 40th Anniversary 911 and a Fiat 500 Abarth over the years as well as a variety of other vehicles. Other than the 40th Anniversary 911 which was a $98k car I've never owned a car that was more special than this Giulia. It's a rare occasion I pull in a parking lot anywhere and see a car I'd rather have other than this one. I've done a total of 17 modifications to the car , some very minor and others more noticeable. The biggest disappointment comes when I arrive at my destination... the car is that much fun to drive . As a lot of other people commented on here, continuing to mispronounce the model name in a disparaging way name does nothing for your credibility or does calling a poster "prick" that didn't like your review.

Hopefully Alfa has got there ducks in a row, since this almost two year old video was made. The Guilia is absolutely an amazing car to drive and look at. Some folks have had great luck with their alfas and that's awesome! The fact of the matter is, it's not a Camry. You guys can stop acting like it is the chosen one of automobile reliability. When this video was made, we literally took information off of autotrader, off of Alfa romeo's service bulletins and portrayed it on a youtube video. I understand the love for a brand that many others frown on, the lack of knowing and understanding and experience. I own a Jaguar.

@@PerformanceOnWheels I actually just watched your Tesla Model S video and yes, much much better. I wasn't trying to be harsh even though we do own a 2019 Ti sport Giulia. You were right in mentioning past reliability issues. I personally haven't experienced any but that certainly doesn't mean some do. But yes, you guys have definitely improved and I got a lot of value from watching that video. I'm rooting for ya. I'm still shocked on how good the car is. It has really been amazing for us. There are a few things I wish were better - turn signaling is confusing to operate, backup camera sucks, and the infotainment screen could be bigger and better. Oh, and the sunroof doesn't close after you turn the car off (gotta turn the car back on to close it). But other than that, it's awesome. And honestly, those gripes wouldn't prevent me from buying it. Nobody buys an Alfa for the backup camera quality...but still, could be better in the 2019. The 2020 and 21 is much better. They've improved it along with a new software interface (which is better than my 2019). The car drives like a dream. Incredible handles and great acceleration. Subbed!

I was actually going to stop watching the video as soon as you butchered quadrifoglio but i still kept going. 2nd : you criticized stelvio for year end big discounts. All manufacturers want to get rid of old cars at year end with big discounts. 3rd: stelvio quadrifoglio is a direct competitir to glc 43 and has beaten out glc 43 in driving experience by a margin and matched the power. 4th: read actual owner reviews and 75% of them are satisfied with 2017 and onwards alfa romeos.

And hanging out being associated with high rollers like Ferrari and Maserati are hurting the brand placing it bracket that it's not. The Corvette C8.....THAT might be a flop in the making with the amount of TSBs and recalls.....I've been 2.5 years with a Ti Sport...other than maintenance and a few software updates, no problems or major fails, and recalls 0. I was worried do it being an FCA vehicle and all the Chrysler reliability issues but this car has none.. I've installed a Seletron chipbox w/ pedal controler, full centerline exhaust and a GFB DV+ diverter valve upgrade and boy is a fun little car (not to mention gas mileage, up to 31mpgs on the highwaywith the mods). I'm a Service advisor at a Chevy dealer next door to a BMW and Mercedes dealers... I do see unreliable car on a daily basis. This one is not.
