Me and my partner didn't live together when we had our son so I did all the nights on my own..its hard and you are on autopilot for most of it but its also one of the nicest times because there's nothing better than having little peaceful moments watching your baby feed and seem so content in a quiet house. Now hes 7 and I cant even get a hug off him because he's too cool for that 😎 You'll cope when you have your own because love takes over. Hope nalas belly settles soon!

Someone I know recently had an endoscopy and found out she has Schatzki ring. She had previously had a camera down her throat but they weren’t able to see anything, they were only able to diagnose it from the endoscopy. Her only symptom was that she had a hard time swallowing foods like cake and bread. She would feel like it was getting stuck in her throat. During the endoscopy they did a procedure to open up the esophagus. I had never heard of it before but thought of you, may be worth looking into!

In Norway we celebrate christmas at christmas eve! And on christmas day we invite familymembers and familyfriends over for brunch (not this year obviously)

My husband has the same issue with swallowing. He finally went in and got an endoscopy and is now on medication to help widen his esophagus. It’s a game changer! Haven’t had an issue eating since.

I relate so much to what you just said about your GERD. I used to brush it off for so many years thinking oh it’s probably normal everyone has this, to the point of having chronic pharyngitis from it. Now I’m on PPI medication and feeling much better. Best wishes for you and your health 🤍

In Iceland, we open the Christmas presents on Christmas eve and we have 13 Santa clause, we call them the yule lads.

I love decorating the tree, wrapping gifts. And also our family, I go there and we bake cookies all week before Christmas. And I wrap and decorate the cookies on a tray with the most prettiest bows. Sometimes the plate mated

In Germany we also open all our presents on Christmas Eve (24th). In our culture we don’t celebrate as much of the 25th and 26th of December.

5 yrs ago today I wish I was stressing less abt exams... i was doing my A levels. This Christmas has been the most carefree Christmas i have had in a while as usually I am neck deep in exams and it tends to be the peak of the educational year 😆

One thing i wished i spent more time on in the last 5 years is one myself, building my self up and working on me to be the best i can be, my sound selfish i know but i've let peoples opinions get to me and it sent me to a bad place and helping other who are less fortunate and like doing more charity work.

In Germany we also open the presents or like celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. And then we got the first day of Christmas on the 25th and the second day of Christmas on the 26th were you spend your time with like your grandparents and aunts and friends. The Christmas Eve is the main event and is for the like close family mostly or however you want to spend it 🥰

Alfie would be testing all the toys in the North Pole. Like what Buddy was assigned to when you see him twirling the Jack-in-the-box handles cuz he couldn't make etch n sketch fast enough. Haha. But he'd be assigned to it, not because he is slow, but special!

In Denmark we celebrate Christmas with our family and open presents on the eve of the 24th of December :)

I work at a busy vet clinic here in the US and we're not allowing clients inside either.. My heart goes out to you both (and Nala of course) there have been plenty of patients w/ this problem as of late. LOL

Maybe it's just me, but I'm Dutch and we open all our presents on the day I celebrate Christmas with my family. It could be either on Christmas Day or on Boxing Day, never on Christmas Eve. x

In The Netherlands we celebrate it on Christmas Eve? I actually don't think so. We have two Christmas days, so we celebrate it more on those days than on Christmas Eve.

Im from germany and we open our presents on christmas eve. After dinner a bell rings and we all open them. But we cant be all together, so on christmas eve all the Main presents from grandparents A, Parents and uncle/aunt A. On first day we See noone. And on the second day we meet Grandparents B and open their presents. So its weird for me that people dont celebrate christmas eve with presents in England. But i love to watch your traditions 🥰

I have 2 kids they are spoilt rotten but I have to work right through Christmas which they can’t understand but I can afford a mortgage ... today i had the day off with my daughter and she was so happy to have chicken nuggets and chips with her mum because that’s not a thing now which is really sad they just think we ship them off to daycare that stuff is more than my mortgage 😂

In the Netherlands we originally never give gifts at Christmas. We have Sinterklaas on December 6 and then children already receive gifts.

I had my first baby at 25 and the lack of sleep is no joke. Broken sleep is a reality for months. And there are no breaks! No "nights off". Obviously it's worth it, but you can expect never go have more than 2 hours of sleep in a row for at least 6 weeks. :)

Maybe it depends on where in the Netherlands based on the comments, but I definitely always celebrated and opened presents on Christmas Eve! And I still do that now while living in the US! (I was in the south of the Netherlands)
