ZALFIE CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT! Hope you enjoyed the video gang

Alfie, this concerns your chest problems and it's really important. I really hope you see this. A friend of my father, a young woman, died because constant acid reflux ruined her throat. Bits of food got into the chest through the tiniest holes in the throat, which caused a massive infection of the chest and ultimately killed her in a very painful way. Nobody knows if she 'only' had constant acid reflux or if she suffered from bulimia, but the effect on the throat is the same. I don't want to scare you, but you need to know that this danger exists. You really HAVE to take proper care of your diet, and you have to take it seriously. It wont help if you eat responsibly for 3-4 weeks and then go back to eating like you do now. You have to avoid fat, sugary and spicy food and alcohol. Alcohol is poison for your stomach right now. So is fat eg sausages, bacon etc. So is sugar in any form - sweets, chocolate, syrup etc. Also: You have go be careful of the times you eat. Don't eat 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. If you do, you could sleep standing up and the acid would still make it's way up your throat. Don't eat too much in one go. I guess that the sphincter over between your stomach and your throat is already severely damaged, or you wouldn't have these problems. So it would be better if you ate several little meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones. If I were you, I'd follow a very strict stomach friendly diet for at least a month. Which basically means following the advice on food above. No sausages ( they are basically meat flavored fat rolls) or bacon. Chicken is ok. No sweets (sugar in any form -sorry. Not too much fruit as well - contains sugar as well). No alcohol AT ALL (really important!). Rice, Quinoa etc is really good. Vegetables are good too, but they have to be cooked well (esp peas and carrots are good if boiled till soft). You should also keep a diary on what you eat and when you have chest pain. This can help to find a correlation between cause and pain. This might sound really strict. But it's your health, the most important thing you have. You HAVE to go the extra mile and be super careful. If you have any questions, you can PM me. Take care!

Alfie, I have had chronic acid reflux since I was in high school. Everything you described about your chest pains and stomach pains, I had too. I remember crawling into a ball because my stomach felt like I had just swallowed 20 knives. I had the endoscopy (camera down my throat) when I was about 17 years old and that is when I was diagnosed with chronic acid reflux. After that, I was prescribed 40mg Omeprazole to take every morning 30-45 minutes before breakfast. It honestly does help A LOT. I drink coffee and eat chocolate and tomatoes and I have not had any problems since I was 17. I am now 24 years old and am still taking Omeprazole every day and I truly feel that this will help you! The only time it bothers me now is if I eat way too much. Everyone is different, diet can be controlled, but I feel your pain. I hope you feel better soon! Much love.

Love how Alfie is such a trooper, he's in crazy pain but still makes us vids to watch - if I were in his situation I'd just stay huddled up in the fetal positon in bed all day and wouldn't do anything productive at all!

Here's the best & quickest pancake recipe for you (+ it can be vegan!), they look exactly like Zoes (or Jamies): - 1 cup of flour - 1 cup of milk of your choice ( I like soy, but you can use dairy, almond, whatever suits you) - 1 teaspoon of baking powder - 1-2 teaspoons of golden syrup/ agave nectar/ maple syrup/ honey (you could also use sugar but I highly recommend a fluid sweetener) Whisk it all together for a minute, heat up a pan & add some oil or margarine (butter). When pan is heated, add some of the pancake mix. Let it brown from both sides, I think you know how to do it. *Trust me, they are AMAZING and super easy to do)* :)

People think acidic foods like tomatoes and spices stuff causes acid reflux but it's greasy fatty foods! I have acid reflux and GERD , if you want to feel better ditch the junk food that you eat everyday and don't eat meals before bed because that cause problems too. It's common sense really isn't it?

Alfie, Pizza is NOT GOING TO HELP you feel better. lol! The fat, salt, and grease in the pizza will really bother your acid reflex. I also have it. I take nexium for mine. It works WHEN I REMEMBER to take it. Zoe's new perfume sounds like it has essential oils in it. I did hear Frankenscense & Cardamon was in it, didn't hear what else. Those two are essential oils, Frankenscense is a VERY GOOD FOR YOU essential oil!

Alfie, I have commented many times about this and I hope you do eventually see this. What you describe to me is exactly like what I had when I had gallstones. They diagnosed me multiple times with acid refllux and no amount of medication helped until one doctor realised in how much pain I was in and sent me for an ultrasound. I since have had my gallbladder removed and it is the best thing I have done in my life. that was the most horrible pain I was in in my life and I had 2 children with no pain relief.

Alfie if you have acid reflux STOP eating very fatty foods like sausages (if you want sausages you should wipe the wet fat off it) and you should not eat late at night .. I have acid reflux and eliminating these things have really helped me

I actually suffer from really bad acid reflux. even had a few gastric attacks which feels as though my stomach is going to explode. best thing to do is avoid caffine, citrus and citrus juices, mint, and greasy foods. chamomile, licorice, marshmallow, and slippery elm helps a lot. Hope it helps.

If it hurts that much, I don't get why you don't change something about your diet. I mean, you still eat and drink so much unhealthy stuff - what else is your body supposed to do to make you understand that you need to change something? Less stress and healthy food make a huge difference if you make a constant change there! I've been there too and I didn't believe it until I really tried.

You eat the worst good ever! Ofcourse you had acid reflux. Did you think all the chocolate, heavy breakfasts, and jelly beans are you good for you stomach? No.. And now when you are better you ate such a rich meal. You don't give your stomach any chance to heal! Don't complain if your not following your diet

you should get your gallbladder checked it could be gallstones! That could be what is causing the pain even when you haven't eaten anything bad!

a good tip to keep the acid away is not to eat within 4 hours before bed and stay away from drinks aswell.... water is fine depending on how sensetive youre acid production is. This works for me =)

Aflie, for your acid reflex ask your doctor for nexium! I've had really bad acid reflex for over a year now and my doctor gave me nexium. I've been taking it for a month now and haven't felt any pain!! It's a life saver :)

I had a the same issue as you. Every time I would eat, I would get a pain in my chest/ upper stomach and I had really bad acid reflux. I went to the Gastroenterologist and he ordered a HIDA scan for my gallbladder and that's when we found out that mine is working at 12%. It would hurt every time I would eat anything high in fat, really acidic or anything slightly greasy. I have surgery on the 8th of December to get mine removed! My stomach would hurt and bloat and I would get the worst pain and have the worst indigestion ever so i definitely know what you are going through!
