One of my favorites of Matt’s solos is “Fangs.” It’s such an incredible song; The lyrics are are masterful and personal, his rap is clean and calming, his vocals are intimate, and the story of the song leaves a hole in my heart like no other. I love this man too much.

I agree that Matt didn’t have that shining moment, but I’d say his shining moment was the entirety of Sat 3, ZIPPER, JOHNNY, LIQUID, BLEACH, SISTER/NATION, just everything he did on the album was different, he changed up his flow and style each time, he murdered that album.

Matt is high-key my favorite out of the group. He's consistent with the quality of his work throughout the entirety of the Saturation trilogy and to be honest I find him to be quite charming. I mean come on, he respects women, how can you not like him? Lol and aside from all of that, I find him to be the most relatable member of the group, for me at least. I feel like Saturation 3 in general is Matt's shining moment. He easily has my favorite verses on the album. His verse on Bleach is one of my favorites of 2017 and I totally agree with how he shines on Rental.

Matt's performance on SISTER is also comparable IMO. His rapid fire delivery and flow is amazing and he has the perfect voice for that verse and beat.

I never fully was into Brock Hampton. I liked em but it was so chaotic with how they constantly are changing their style and they're so many on them. I think this is the introduction I needed. Thank you!

My shining moment for Merlyn was on the song "Milk", he has never sounded so mature and bittersweet about his current and future life than on this verse. The second he said "Hi my name is Merlyn!" I knew it was a special. He's even said in an interview that it was his favorite verse in BROCKHAMPTON.

Awesome video man, would love to see more content like this. Personally for me Matt snapped on Sister. His verses and flow were incredible and a great change from his normal slower laid back flow and vocals. Dom also blew me away on the second part of the track Nation with his amazing verse.

Nice video! The songs weren’t out yet, but I must say that Joba’s verses in 1999 Wildfire and 1998 Truman blow my mind, they are my wow moments for him

Great vid, though I'm a little disappointed you skipped over something re. Junky: Kevin's verse is indeed seismic, but Matt's in terms of 'importance' is every bit as big (ok, I don't like ranking topics, they're both huge issues that are untypical of rap), and even more grand. The way they lead into it with Joba & Matt's skittish chiming is to highlight *this* is the show stopping moment. The verse itself is constructed better too, a much better build and sense of momentum to it. Given who Brockhampton's core demographic is, Matt's verse is much more likely to touch a nerve than Kevin's, and that's a huge thing to look at. You can look in the comments of that song and won't find anyone at odds with Kevin announcing "not enough rap & be gay", but Matt's verse has evoked lots of contentious comments, lots of topics being thrown around. You'll see one guy say 'feminism is cancer', but 2 more to debunk & or sneer at that comment. Maybe you overlooked that for the sake of this video (nothing wrong with that), or you really do think Kevin steals the show on Junky (nothing wrong with that either), but I find Matt's way more interesting, especially in a time where so many (valid) criticisms of straight while men is the inability to acknowledge aggressive sexual attitudes and distance themselves from them.

i think an earlier wow moment of matt for me was when he sang the exact same way in home. I think it just gets overlooked because people mainly focus on the saturation trilogy.

Matt's wow moment was definitely his verse on FOLLOW. Ever since then he's been snappin on everything.

Rental got me into brockhampton, stumbled on it by accident had no idea what was up but got hooked

after listening to every BROCKHAMPTON single, album and whatever, and Matt becoming what i’d dub as the smoothest member, i definitely have to agree. That being said, there’s something special about RENTAL as a whole, it strikes me a lot more than any other Saturation album, and it’s up there for my favourite song by BROCKHAMPTON overall.

I totally get what you mean when you said that Matt's verses are amazing but usually aren't the shining point of the songs he appears in--even on ZIPPER, Matt gets outshone by Merlyn (IMO), something I wasn't necessarily expecting when I listened for the first time lol.

I agree with everything and as always a great video, and i know its subjective but for bearface i would've said his "wow" moment was on TEAM. Joba is a wildcard as known widely and for that reason i think its hard to in down one "wow" moment for him, but definitely FACE, his intro to TOKYO or his verse on SWEET, as it always makes me smile and dance. Keep up the great content and you'll be big in no time i know it.
