Let's walk through this rear Alfresco transformation in Thornleigh in Sydney's Northern Suburbs.
Previously, there was an outdated, 'patchwork' of an rear space which the new owners needed to 'bring back to life'.
We have created....
- Essentially the same traditional gable design as the original, however the original roofing has been totally removed & we've started from a clean slate
- We lined the underside of the Colorbond roofing with timber 'V joint' boards which were painted white
- White "Heatstrips" were flushmounted into the ceiling on both sides, so combined with the blinds this will make the area usable in Winter, whilst being nice & cosy
- External blinds were incorporated to both open ends to give that added flexibility to the space
- Electrical work was incorated naturally with the inclusion of a series of LED downlights & a striking timber bladed fan
You'll be able to see here in the video that the concrete works have commenced which saw the removal of the old 'patch work' styled pavers, which with the new external tiles will bring a seemless flow from the back bi-fold doors out to the alfresco outdoor room.
