bhai i was trying to setup my python smartapi and i got a doubt. Instead of using anaconda for interactive programing, can't i simply use my scripting text editors like Visual studio code and do bactesting on the historical data provided by the smartapi through my python script ???

Yes you can use vs code , anaconda I am suggesting only because it is good for backtesting and data analytics

I have searched on internet and according to my research we cannot do paper trading (forward testing) of strategies using Angel One Smart API we can only execute live trades (with real money) Can you in short explain how we can shift from live account to demo account for doing algo trading?
