the warm light bouncing off the walls, the sound of the wind, the slight shuffle of the feet, the steadied equaled paces, the song echoing off stone, all of these compliment a dark serene moving tune. Sit back, light a joint if you choose, and enjoy.

It's true! Whenever I lose my bearings I listen to those two, Ballaké Sissoko, Toumani Diabaté and his father... Many more. It works instantly, I end up feeling selfish for whatever I was anxious/angry about and all is well. Greetings from France.

Ali was everyone's friend, so many incredible contributions. And, as usual, he is content in letting the other person (Kar Kar!! I am not saying he isn't very special in his own way... Just a little more "human") take front stage.

well improvise then:) I am from Bosnia and we have a writing system where every sound has its letter. We use modified standard Latin alphabet (ABC...) so the "Diarabi" would be "Đarabi"(Djarabi). If you are from Afrika* (you probably are since you understand Bambarra) you could try to use standard spelling you use for your native language. I will probably decipher it. Thanks any way! * this is how we spell Africa in Bosnia

I know what the theme of the song is :) I was just replying to mehmus and he was giving blessings to Ali Farka Toure, so I joined in. By the way, is there anything more divine than love?!? :) I would appreciate if you could write the actual lyrics to this song (not the translation). I know how to play it on guitar but I have to mimic the words so I sounds different every time :)
