Totally agree. Especially when the interviewer is trying to portray a progressive image criticizing others for belittling women's role/life after pregnancy, while doing the same by not talking about the very thing she is there to promote - her film. She is here to market her work not her baby and husband for god's sake.

@@nickysingh2126 I understand that he is doing it for the views but then it totally contrasts his opening statement and everything that he markets himself to be - a more empathetic journalist. Also he said he loved her. In fact if he really did care for her more than views, he would respect the fact that she didn't want only those parts of her life highlighted as she kept saying in the interview. We all know she got married and is expecting. She declared it herself on social media. There is nothing further to know especially when this press con was specifically meant for promoting the film. I still believe he missed a very important aspect about talking about her as a new producer. Much like Anushka, her questions in the interview were mostly revolving around her wedding and the child. I guess to each their own in terms of their choice of wedding and planning kids. However, as a viewer, I was more interested in knowing about the freshness of the film and her transition. While projecting the dreaminess of her wedding, he perhaps completely ignored the way her eyes lit up when talking about this film

Guys there are other parts of the interview you haven't watched yet. Chill. He has discussed Darlings at length there. Also, Nayandeep has always tried to bring out the non-celebrity human side of Actors in general. That's his thing and that's why people watch it.

I honestly think she got judged way too harshly at that time of her first film… she was literally a teenager at the time. And tbh she’s been proving herself since then, which you can see just in the change from SOTY to Highway. People judge her on her family too much as well, and it is truly awful. Like yes, Arjun and Sonam Kapoor deserve that criticism, Alia doesn’t.

She is at peak of what? Karan johar and his friends forcing her on us must be a good peak. She has no screen presence.

To top in SOTY she looked a little chubby and hair cut suited her. No idea who is her stylish but she shouldn't have lost as much as she did in Bramhastra and the hair style. Her chubby cheeks is the only thing she had. Pooja Bhat kept that chubby cheek all through because that's the only physical USP for Alia

All anchors and reporters have a rapport with stars since they're interviewing time and again and its no biggie. Even if you don't show you're close we know you're on good terms so its a turn off to see the same ass licking everytime. He didn't do that before and interviews were fun.

I am myself a big Alia fan. Alia got married because she could afford to get married. She has a stable career. She is not underprivileged. Please don’t compare other girls with her. Because They don’t have a choice. Of course Every women would love get married on time and become a mother on time before it’s too late for them. They choose to marry later in life because they don’t have a godfather. They don’t have anyone to support them. They have to support themselves.

She has said in numerous interviews that movie biz is an uncertain place because if audience do not like a movie then the concerned actor or actress won't get work. She has GROWN as an actress over the course, due to a myriad of opportunities despite a lackluster performance in her initial films. How was she cast in gangubai when she doesn't even look the part? And finally I would like to end with- she is a decent actor. This is not a nepotism debate. Actors like Ranbir and Kajol are delight to wach. Ayaan mukherji is a good director. But the way alia is being marketed and being given undeserving accolades, and her overconfidence is jarring.

LOL what are you talking about? She didn’t have an expensive wedding. She didn’t even have a normal wedding. Normal weddings take place in a hall or a marquee. It was a normal wedding which anyone can have. Most south Asian girls are married by their early 20’s. South Asian girls want to leave their parents house and most parents don’t want their kids staying at home in their late 20’s or early 30’s. Early 30’s is considered well above the age of marriage, irrespective of socio economic status. It’s an age that is considered undesirable for marriage UNLESS the person has a long track record of career and accomplishments to show for himself/herself. Most people have their first child by their early 30’s. The later you get married, the later you have children. Nobody wants to get married at 35 years old and have a 8 year old child at 43 years old. It’s too late. UNLESS there’s a long list of professional achievements and the person has dated and tried to find a suitable spouse but has failed to meet the right one. Not looking and not dating, is not a valid excuse or reason for not marrying. It’s common sense that you have to meet people in order to find “the one.”

I’ve never understood people who don’t date and don’t meet new people. They’re the most miserable. How can you live a life without romance and love? So what, if you have to go on dates with 20 people different people? You do you. You decide how you want your love life to go and what you want your love story to be. Nobody else decides that for you. Your life. Your memories. Your story. It’s better than being single and wasting your time, giving up or not looking. At least, you have a record of trying to find the one instead of being responsible for not having love in your life. Bitter people, who make no effort to date and do not go on a date with an open mind, are draining and their lack of responsibility, in how awful their love life is, is shocking.

The WORST and most dehumanising people, are those who project their values, agenda, insecurities, revenge and psychotic ways on other people and create obstacles in the love life of OTHER people, when they don’t even have a romantic and affectionate love life themselves. OR try to regulate and steer the love life of other people, when such decision making hasn’t been delegated to them AT ALL and when they have been told to mind their own business. People who lack love in their upbringing, childhood and adulthood, make for the worst subhumans. They are hateful and the SCUM of the earth. Because they have a personal issue with people dating or meeting several suitors and because they can’t get a date with ONE person let alone several, they don’t want others to have love in their life either. They are, therefore, responsible for the victim not having LOVE in his/her life or NOT being married. That’s disgusting.
