I prefer using built-in features rather than downloading an app for every task: 1. Alfred = Spotlight 2. Moom = Press and hold option+move your cursor over the green button on the top left corner of the window -> move window to left or right 3. Amphetamine = Terminal -> type command "caffeinate". Or "caffeinate -t 600", to keep your Mac awake for 10 minutes 4. Cleanshot X = Cmd+shift+4

Spotlight does exactly everything that alfred does. Especially your currency conversion example I tried it in spotlight and had the answer before I finished typing it

Agreed. Raycast is so much more than an Alfred replacement. For example, you could easily substitute Amphetamine as well with Raycast's "caffeinate" function.

Hey! if you use app nr.3 Amphetamine, you are able to keep the display of your second monitor on and fully close your Mac book without it having to be on charge

Raycast is an amazing, free, and in many ways better, alternative to Alfred. Full of extensions to integrate it with so many other apps!

I pay for Macbooks to reduce friction and doing things fast and efficient. Time adds up and its super annoying to wait for basic functions. Mac OS + M1 Chip = best match!

Spotlight built in literally does everything Alfred does. Your just making the keyboard shortcut to activate it longer.

You mention having things app on all devices but didn’t mention you have to buy each separately per devices. I paid 9.99 for my iPhone then went to download iPad version but it’s asking I pay 19.99 for iPad. Hope I can get my money back

What's the diff b/w Alfred and Spotlight cuz I can open Chrome, files and also currency exchange using Spotlight as well

Spotlight is a lot slower for a lot of these actions. For example I just booted up Spotlight, went to type 'Downloads', and even when I typed the whole thing, the top result was an App on the App Store I have no interest in. My downloads file was 3 down. With Alfred, I pressed space, the letter 'd' and return, and I had my downloads open. Just 3 key presses. Give it a try - it's free. If you prefer Spotlight, that's fine, but in my experience Alfred is way way faster and learns your behaviour better.

I appreciate your recommendations for these apps; they're undoubtedly valuable and exceptional. However, it did come across as if you were solely promoting them, bearing in mind that they all require payment for full functionality. Most of them are not even free with base features. Perhaps it might be more efficient if we establish a consistent system, employ a particular application, or utilize specific commands that align with our preferences, allowing us to rely on muscle memory. Managing the constant influx of new apps, especially with MacOS updates introducing non-exclusive features, might not be practical. While these suggested apps have their merits, the built-in MacOS features can suffice for daily tasks. This channel once provided genuine, helpful information, but it now seems to have shifted towards profit-driven advertising, reflecting the state of the modern world. It's regrettable how things have evolved with the direction of our world is leading towards.

I agree the Mac itself has a lot of great built-in apps that do the job -- such as Apple Notes (I don't need Notion). No one needs Moom either when Rectangle does the same thing for free.
