i used to be obsessed with watching productivity videos and doing the aesthetic notes and stuff. and of course, none of those worked. than i was burning out over piled studies so i finally decided to take a long -term break and choose what will work for me best. after about a year or so of changing productivity tips that didn't work for me, i found not one, but several ways to manage my time and it was worth it! right now, my only problem is being distracted easily and my attention span but surprisingly enough, everything in this video was already the stuff i found out over the years! so thank you for reminding and summerising what i've achieved and thanks for dedicating your time for this.

Wonderful content! I do many of the mentioned things but especially after time chunks when I do something to refresh my energy, that thing feels much better that I dont want to go back to working. That thing can even be drinking coffee. I do some things to make my working chunks much enjoyable or sometimes just focus without any interruptions depending on how I feel at the moment, and also its not like “i hate my job” but still life outside the work is much better much calm or enjoyable than work, even if its doing nothing 🤦🏻‍♀️

This was an excellent and comprehensive overview of journaling! I found Ali Abdaal's advice on the different levels and techniques for journaling extremely helpful. The science behind expressive writing and gratitude journaling was fascinating. I never realized just how powerful writing about thoughts and feelings could be for mental health. Abdaal makes a compelling case for how journaling helps gain control over your mindset. The prompts shared are fantastic. I especially like the Wheel of Life for evaluating different aspects of your life, and the Fear Setting exercise to push past limiting beliefs. The Odyssey Plan also seems like a great tool for clarity on your path. I'm excited to start consistently journaling by using Abdaal's tips. Writing down a few sentences each morning seems like a manageable way to begin. I'll try to remember that the simple act of getting thoughts on paper is the key. Thank you for so many practical suggestions to unlock journaling's life-changing potential!

Nice work summasiring all these books! Although I do think we'll always "waste" time, or have non-productive time where we do tasks that doesn't contribute to the compound effect (e.g. playing videogames) I consider these non-planned time windows really important to keep you from burnout and reduce the amount of stress.

I love your channel and i am experimenting with your methods :) Creating time blocks doesn’t seem to work for me anymore. I used to be great at it when i was in school and at the university but now i don’t have enough commitment to time. What works for me now is setting a “reminder activity”. For example: i will study one hour in the morning, this hour will start after my first walk with my dog. Doesn’t matter what time i walk the dog in the morning, i just need to study right afterwards for one hour.

0:23: 📚 The speaker shares a nine-step framework for productivity based on their research and readings of productivity books. 2:37: 💡 Setting goals is important, but it's equally important to break them down into tangible actions and create time blocks in your schedule to work towards them. 5:00: 📅 The technique of time blocking is a helpful productivity tactic that involves creating containers of time for specific tasks and setting intentions for each day. 7:43: 📚 The speaker discusses their struggle with procrastination and provides tips for improving productivity. 9:55: 💡 The key to productivity is finding ways to make work feel good, which can involve eliminating distractions, seeking resources for focus, and incorporating enjoyable elements into the work environment. 12:19: ⚡ Recharging our energy is essential for productivity and can be achieved through time management and engaging in activities that genuinely recharge us. 15:05: 💡 Learning how to code can change the way we look at the world and help us build solutions for real-world problems. 17:22: 📚 The main thing for productivity is to figure out where you want to go, make time for it, do it consistently, and reflect on your progress.
