My grandma used to ban my mother from listening to Alice Cooper back in the seventies and hated his music, until one day at a Mardi Gras Ball, My grandma coincidentally met Alice and actually had a two hour conversation with him . Needless to say, after the ball, she would constantly talk about what a great guy Cooper is . True story

He makes no bones about it. He has always said “Alice” was an alter ego and a stage performance. Vincent is the normal everyday guy, Alice is the guy that takes the stage. Kind of like Professional Wrestling. Growing up in the 70s and 80s just south of Detroit- I think we’ve always been privileged to know the real Vincent/Alice from his radio shows/spots, constant interviews over the decades, etc. He is nothing like his stage character when the music and show is over. I grew up thinking everybody knew that….. but it’s funny how many don’t realize it and watch a video of him talking about Jesus, or complex marketing, or even physics, math and he just comes across like a pastor or a professor on non theological subjects. They just watch and go “wow! I never knew that he was like that!”

Ummm the bible tells us....rock music is fine except for the fact that EVERY influential rock band worship and pay homage to satan through their insignia, lyrics, agendas etc. Afterall satan is the angel of music. No one makes it to the world stage with massive influence unless they have sold their soul. LOTS of rock stars try to repent as they get old because the delusion of immortality wears off and worldly pleasures dont seem so important anymore......

God CONDEMNS immorality and living for the flesh (which includes anything that glamorizes and glorifies the flesh and that lures and entices people into those things. Those countless millions of people who went to his concerts were MOST DEFINITELY NOT there to be edified or drawn to Christ, they were there to FEED AND ENTICE THE FLESH!!! I worked for the casino's golf course and he and a few guys would be the first ones at the course each day. We opened early just for him each time. Let me tell you, this guy is genuine and all around incredibly humble and kind. He'd come into the golf shop and just chat with us. Incredible musician, stand-up guy, and an amazing golfer I must say. He'd do a full round and then go practice with his band all day. Disciplined to the core and one of the hardest working guys I've ever seen. I still have his scorecard from the cart, where he and his buddies we're trying to come up with funny Russian names.. he wrote "Ivana Strokalot". Classic. Thanks Alice for being you. If you are still with me there, now ask yourself, "is Jesus who He says He is?". If you look at everything, from the accounts of His life, the way he lived and the overall circumstances... I think most people with an open mind and open heart will find that Jesus is and thus Christianity is true. Invite the Holy Spirit into you, your life, your home. Watch your heart change. HEY WORLD, no matter how differing our views are, let's talk! Let's be decent to each other! It IS possible. You don't have to agree with someone to respect them. Remember that, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Props to Alice and Marilyn for showing it.

Shadowreeper213: I know that Jesus would have upset you greatly because He told people He was God Almighty and told them to worship Him. You see, Christians didn't come up with the Holy Bible one day and decide to force everyone to accept it. We're just message boys/girls, not the authors. I had never known true freedom til I put my faith in Jesus and repented of my sins. You think you're accepting slavery when you become a Christian, but actually, it's very much the opposite. Read the Holy Bible for yourself (starting with Matthew) and ask God to show you what it really means. Like Kerry Livgren said, "When you step across the line, it's illuminating!"

Shadowreeper213: You made my mouth hit the floor when you said a huge amount of the world was Christian. If that were true, then the world would be in a much better state than it is now. I am not 'religious.' I hate religion, and God hates religion. Christianity is NOT a religion, it is a living, close relationship to the spiritual being known as God Almighty (JHVH). Religion leads to spiritual death, true repentance and faith in God's Messiah, Jesus, leads to spiritual life. You are spiritually dead, as are all of the 'religious' people of the world because you all choose to be. If you were truly open minded, you would investigate the evidence (like a trial lawyer) for Jesus and the trustworthyness of the Bible. But you, and most of the world, do not wish to do that because you insist that you alone will be the master of your life and decide what is right and wrong and what your actions will be, not the Lord. Christians do not "indoctrinate" their children any more than an archery teacher indoctrinates a student who knows nothing about archery. The Lord tells us to train up a child in the right, proper way he/she should go so they will know and understand what God requires and why. That is what the Lord requires true believers to do. If you have kids, Shadowreeper, did you not teach them right from wrong? Teach them that some actions are bad and wrong, and some are good and right? Christians do not 'demonize' people. We refute those who constantly attack us with slander ranging from "homophobic" to "Nazi" and "Jew killers." Christians (true ones, not the posers who claim to be) are the most persecuted group on the planet. We're pretty much neck & neck with the Jews. The world at large hates both of us. Whilst Muslims go on killing hundreds of people every week with Jihad (as demanded by Allah in their Quran), the world sings the praise of Islam and strongly condemns Christians & Jews as 'haters,' 'bigots,' 'intolerant,' 'and 'Nazis.' That action is proof that less than 25% of the world's population is saved. I don't know how you were raised or by whom, but you need to disregard that because that process was conducted thru certain people who probably were false Christians. Read and study the Bible for yourself, without considering all of the pain from the past. Remember: a person is accountable to God for what they do in this life and whom they put their faith and trust in, not accountable to people. You cannot use abuse by people to measure Truth and God's character and integrity.

Shadowreeper213, most of America is definitely NOT Christian. Only about 8% is. If America were 70%+, most of the sin & filth which run rampant in the country would not exist. Most of the redundant, tyrannical laws would not exist. When people are true Christians (again, not everyone who says they're a Christian actually is) there is no need for hundreds of laws to control society. Christians control them selves without laws to dictate every detail to them. Islam is definitely NOT a faith. Islam does not involve faith, only obedience to an unknowable and unloving god who delights in sending people to Hell. I have studied Islam for 4 years and I know what I'm talking about. Christianity is the only Faith (Eph 4-6 There is one body and one Spirit.....one Lord, one Faith, one baptism.....) all other beliefs are religions. Religions demand that people do something to earn a deity's favour. The true God, JHVH, says there is no way possible anyone can earn His favour. It is by Grace and Faith ALONE. Only Jesus said He was god Almighty and then rose from the dead to prove it. Only Jesus died for the sins of all the world, not Buddha, not Allah, not Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Deva, Diana, Herne, Hecate, or ________. You are wrong again. I know more about Hinduism than you think. I have studied it. I have read the Bagavad Gita and the Vedas, and I have Sikh friends who have taught me about the Sikh religion. Christians do NOT indoctrinate. You don't know the definition of indoctrination if you think that. Since you are spiritually dead, you do not know that the Holy Spirit is what indwells true believers and causes them to be so sure that Christianity is right and all others are nothing but deception. All others are spiritually dead, so they are bound to working hard to earn their deity's favour and they never find true peace and spiritual security. I do not hate Atheists by any means. I understand why some people choose to believe in Atheism. I come from a background of the Occult. I was not raised a Christian. I was raised in Wicca, fortune telling, Tarot cards, Astrology, Ouija, etc. I also did drugs and drank a lot. I never had any peace and nearly killed myself at 13 yrs old. Since becoming a Christian, I have true peace, I do not fear death. That's right, even if a Muslim put a gun to my head and told me to denounce Jesus and accept Allah, I would say 'no way, pull the trigger.' Jesus also healed me of ADHD, which had made a real wreck of my life. The inner peace of knowing a loving God who cares for me deeply is wonderful beyond compare. :)

Hi Shadowreeper 213, I just got back home after being away for a week. I was in a museum which was featuring lots of idols of Buddha and yes, he is considered a deity and Buddhists do pray to him and bow to him with chanting and worship. When I was back home, I heard a Radio 4 broadcast where an expert on Buddhism had been historically researching Sidhartha Gautama for many years and he said the chance that Sidhartha actually existed was slim to none. The fact that no religious figures claim to be God Almighty except Jesus is a striking contrast. Not only did Jesus proclaim it, He proved it. The Jesus of Islam (called "Isa" which is not even a word, it is just made up by Mohammed) bears no resemblance to the Jesus of the holy Bible. Islam is not an Abrahamic religion because Abraham had nothing to do with it and if he would have been alive in the 7th century, he would have strongly resisted it as everything is Islam is diametrically opposed to Judaism and Christianity. Ishmail is not the father of the Arabs. That is an Islamic lie that has been pushed for far too many years. Genesis 25 tells us Abraham married Keturah and had children. These children were the fathers of the Arabs, NOT Ishmail. Abraham did not try and sacrifice Ishmail, but Isaac. Even the Quran says so (Sura 37:100-113). The god of Islam is the exact opposite of the God of Israel. He is the Arrogant One, the Greatest Deciever (Quran Sura 3:54, 7:99, 8:30), he creates people just so he can cast them into Hell for kicks (Sura 7:179; 11:118-119; 32:13-14) and he even loves to greatly increase their pain by renewing their skin right after it burns up so that they can experience horrible pain over & over (Sura 22: 19-22). Jesus and all others who are worshipped as God will burn in Hell (Sura 21: 98-100). Nowhere in the Quran, the Hadith, or Shariah does Allah ever tell Muslims to be kind, loving, or compassionate to non Muslims. Instead, he commands faithful (not radical) Muslims to perform violence against all non Muslims, especially Christians and Jews. Suras 8 and 9 are crammed full of hatred and commands to murder, rape, rob, and destroy Jews and Christians. Suras 8 and 9 are the final words of Allah and they abrogate all other Suras. The Hadith is full of commands to kill Christians and Jews and all other non Muslims. The Lord did not murder anyone. JHVH is not a man that he should sin. He is Holy, righteous, and pure. For 120 years, Noah warned everyone to repent of their wickedness and turn to the Lord. The entire Earth was so full of vile wickedness and pure evil that God was sorry He had even created Mankind. But He had mercy and was patient. No one repented in those 120 years and only Noah and his family were different from the rest of Mankind. Finally, time ran out and God flooded the Earth to cleanse it of the massive filth that had polluted it. But in His mercy, He did not punish everyone. He spared the family that chose to be righteous and forsake wickedness. The flood is not something He wanted to do, He was forced into it by Mankind. The fact that Jesus died for your sins and everybody else's is proof that God desires to spare as many people from Hell as He possibly can, instead of delightfully filling Hell with those who do not submit, like Allah does, who is an unknowable, unloving, and capricious god and the very epitome of tyranny. Muslims never know if Allah is pleased with them. They won't know that until after death. Even Mohammed said he wasn't sure he would go to the Garden of Allah/Paradise. Sura 3:185; 19:71 tell us that all Muslims will be cast into Hell and if Allah feels like it, he will pull them out. The best way to win Allah's favour is to perform Jihad (murder, rape, and rob non Muslims). That increases a Muslims' chances of going to the Garden of Allah/Paradise.

Thanks! Brief but cool. Alice seems like such a down-to-earth guy. He clearly understands the difference between the image (or act) and the person behind it. Some artists can't separate those, and they get into lots of trouble thereby. He obviously has fun with what he does, & doesn't take it too seriously for his own good. Also: January 26, 2020 was my 5 year anniversary of sobriety, so I'll say that Alice is dead right when he says, "You gotta want it!" I was drunk for 32 years. It took me 4 & 1/2 years of not drinking to actually get sober. Of course, after that long, I thought I *_was_* sober! It turned out I had some health issues, which interfered with my energy & clarity. As those were dealt with, I suddenly felt 1000 times better. I almost literally 'woke up.' Since around July / August 2019, I've started seeing things I never thought of before - making connections mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Even when I re-read books I read a dozen times over, I'm getting things out of them I wasn't before! I can think clearly. I keep getting this feeling like, "Holy cow! I was an idiot!!! What was I thinking?" Sometimes I'm progressing so quickly, I think that about things I did yesterday! But I do have to concentrate! After all, I've had very bad mental hygiene - bad habits - for all that time. I'm having to think & learn all over again. I was a so-called 'high-functioning' drunk (although I dispute that there really even *_is_* such a thing!) from the age of 18. I missed out on so many things; I was *_extremely_* immature. I didn't go to college; I just worked & worked. Eventually, I became disabled (back problems, among several other issues). I could've gone to school & been whatever I wanted. I spent 32 years wasting a 142 IQ. Now I'm concentrating on being as healthy as I can, and enjoying the things I love (which include music - Alice Cooper, of course! - chess, math, science, cosmology, cutting-edge technology, books, movies, etc. I've always had a love of learning, but now I *_actually am_* educating myself. It's never too late (until you're dead), BUT... if you keep going in addiction, death *_is_* what will happen! That was my 'bottom'; I had to quit drinking because I'd damaged my kidneys, had a stomach ulcer, and other problems. It was going to kill me. With the help of my Mom, & a perfect situation, I got sober. It's my miracle. I truly believe that. Even if it turned out I had some terminal illness, I know I'd spend whatever time I had doing the things I love - & being with the people I love - as a sober man. It's that worth it. In 12-Step programs (some, at least), they tell you that you'll reach a point in your sobriety where you begin to feel grateful; that's the word they use (I've heard that from so many members who've given testimonials). It never really meant anything to me; how could it? But I can say now that *_I truly am grateful: grateful for my sobriety, grateful to my friends & family who loved me though it all, grateful to God for my miracle._* Now, I just have to catch up on the latest from Alice, & I'll be fine! Thanks again, man! 🆃🅰🆅🅸.

Well Alice is an awesome musician and I believe that all musicians have to have respect for each other and as well as it shows maturity and I am a Christian as well and have a past that I am not proud of, but we all do. I admire him for being man enough to own it good or bad no Matter the outcome. Because persecution will come to all of us who stand and profess our faith. I am a music enthusiast and as I've gotten older I have had to choose what I listen to more carefully. At one time all 3 of these guys were listened to daily nightly and loud. Now out of these 3 Alice is the only 1 I still listen to not daily still kinda loud of course ,but in moderation. I have worked gospel music into my diet .I don't allow the pied piper to lead me astray ,like I did in my younger days. I keep my senses and fight fire with fire. I sing gospel songs daily and listen to some classic rock sometimes during my day. But everyones fight is different, but its is one in the same. May jesus be with you Alice and I pray that these other professional musicians that are the focal point of this interview consider the love, mercy and kindness that christ offers for eternity in their daily life. Eternity is a long time nobody likes hateful people anyway.

I really enjoy hearing him speak. I was one of those teens on a Wednesday night service that heard the cassette tape of the evils of rock with the back masking and imagery. Later on, I’ve learned that for some it was theatrics. 😀 Hey if anybody knows who did those tapes on the evils of rock please reply.

I was just thinking that myself. He got old and ugly like 30 years ago and then he stopped getting any uglier or older. Not that he's really ugly: beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.

He's not the "leader" just a priest, and religion should not prohibit anyone from becoming friends. Not to go out of range or whatever but that would be equivalent to racism imo, "I won't talk to you about marriage because you're black/asian/gay/whatever". No, we should all treat each other as people, and we have gotten there with race and orientation but we are a far way from it with religion sadly, I know that from my own family.

Baraka oh stfu. I hate metal fans who tell other metal fans what music should they listen to and what religion is good and which one is not. is Alice an extreme christian who knock on you door and tells you you HAVE to believe in God ? no, he isn't. so why talk shit about him

HeadLess96 Manson isn't a Satanist. He was given the title by his now departed friend, Anton LaVey, who started LaVeyan Satanism. It's kind of like when colleges give honorary degrees to celebrities. It's a sign of respect but doesn't really mean anything. Manson was also raised with two Christian parents and went to a Christian school for awhile. He's never been against Christianity or Christians, just those that use the Bible as an excuse to judge and oppress others. There's no reason Manson wouldn't be able to talk to and befriend Alice Cooper. Just because they have different views doesn't really mean anything. It's actually not as interesting as you want to make it. It's not like Alice is going to convert Manson or anything.

It's the fact that he's seeking his wisdom and guidance from Alice. I saw a documentary on Brian Warner yrs ago, I remember some of the facts you stated here but his msg and his imagery is not of positivity and love so to speak.. unless it's the love to be offensive to others ears and eyes.. he's all about that. lol

Alice should write another book on marriage & success being clean sober. I've read his autobiography in high school, my cousin had a copy it was an excellent book. My opinion I think out of everything happening in the media. An Alice Cooper would be a great read & bedtime story.
