I made this up, so if there are tabs they have been made form my version I suppose... I start the first riff kinda based around a D sus 2 chord shape, even thou when you come to play a D it is a Dminor, watch and listen closely and youll get it! Thanks for watching, and Good Luck!

I made the intro up based around a D sus 2 chord so a normal D shape with your finger off the high E string. The next chord uses some open strings and is a bit of a stretch... if I give it away every one will be playing it my way and it potentially wont be mine anymore lol not that its my song! I've done a really cool version of Sweet child of mine, but I am afraid to share it for this reason! but the riff you are probably looking for is... pinky on the 4th of the D string, open G string, 1st finger 1st fret B string, you hold that and play down on the strings D G B D G B then 2nd finger 2nd finger on 2nd fret D string to open before going back to the D sus2 chord shape I hope that Helps!

I like this acoustic version , Alice Cooper actually has quite a few top 100 hits through out the years The interesting thing about this intro is it blends Natural minor and Mixolydian Where as most songs blend Dorian and mixo. The rhythm clearly goes to Bb Under the intro notes. So that is D minor The song uses a vi IV I V Where as Message in a Bottle is vi IV V ii7

Sounds like the guitar is a bit out of tune to me.. probably the whole guitar is in Eb. So the first riff is based around a Db chord (D in standard tuning) Its a classic live trick, to tune all instruments down a half step, everything sounds fatter and the singing can get a little easier, but that all depends on the song and the range! Hey! glad you enjoyed the cover! I must admit this time I added the harmonies afterwards! This pedal calls itself a 'boom cha' I got it 2nd hand for £20 But these days I am using a Cajon Drum with a bass pedal attached. I sit on the drum as I play.. there is one example of this, Ill get the link... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h6yhfq58y9WlpHk.html - this is just when I got it, I now have a tight bass sound to it. I do have a vocal harmony pedal but I have not yet gotten the hang of using it. Hope this helps, anything else you need let me know ;)

Thanks for the reply! I’ve never heard of a “Boom Cha” and there are none on eBay. Check out the Horse Kick. There are plenty of videos on here that show it. They sound amazing but are a little pricy. Keep the tunes coming!

I made my own before this one, but it was bad for feedback. Cajon drum £49, bass pedal £20-30 on gumtree, ebay... way better and its a practice stool built in.

I do use Elixirs they are great! I giged every weekend for a year on a set once and they still sounded great ;) glad you enjoyed and thanks for the tips! ;)

I gig every day with elixirs.. 5 wrap minimum on all strings.. There's a key to longevity with those strings.
