Mr. Cantrell is a guitar god in my opinion. His long career has showcased how much he contributed to AIC from the beginning back in the 90s until now. Please support the band and tell everyone who has been a long time fan to buy their music. I love you all~~~Music heals the dying soul~~

Fantastic guitarist and a legendary song writer ! The whole band past and present have see. Me through many tough times and produced some of the best music ever … so glad that AIC continued after Layne’s passing … I’ve tried for years to “tell” anyone who will listen to me , don’t lament about his passing, treat the 2 incarnations of AIC separately if you have to , otherwise you’re missing out on simply the best music … rock on guys ❤🎸🔥

On every AIC or Cantrell album there is that song that just lifts you up, and you can appreciate it so much more knowing how far you can rise from darker places.

I lost three family members in rapid succession last autumn and this song, somehow, gives words to my grief and it's no small exaggeration to say it's part of my healing process. Thanks, Jerry.

I learned to appreciate drumming a bit a few years ago and Mr. Kinney is one that I keep coming back to for his brilliance. It's easy to get overlooked in the presence of the amazing guitar work and vocals in the same band, but his drumming is always worth attention.

Led out on a leash behind you, holding ground And I don't need no reminding, I've been around Been around, yeah, I am a sound, yeah Lie down with your peace where you find it Won't come cheap Fill up on love when you're hungry, tired then sleep Have your dreams Don't let it wind you, let it bring you down I hate to tell you how little I have found They paved the road with fool's gold And you're gonna fall out You're gonna break down, choke and cry Waiting out the storm when there ain't no place to hide And you're gonna fall out You're gonna break down, choke and cry Waiting out the storm 'til the skies are clear to fly And you're gonna fall out You're gonna break down, choke and cry Waiting out the storm 'til the skies are clear to fly Follow where it leads, your heart will know what's true Don't be blinded by shiny pretty things well past due It's on you, yeah, it's on you, yeah Don't let it wind you, let it bring you down I hate to tell you how little I have found And you're gonna fall out You're gonna break down, choke and cry Waiting out the storm when there ain't no place to hide And you're gonna fall out You're gonna break down, choke and cry Waiting out the storm 'til the skies are clear to fly They paved the road with fool's gold They paved the road with fool's gold

I have never been interested in the 'new' Alice in Chains. I was in my 20's in the early 90's, their albums were all incredible. When Staley was no longer able to produce because of his addiction, I lost interest. I never attributed AIC to solely Staley, Cantrell had just as much influence if not more, but the vocals could never be the same. This song has been on repeat for the last week, Cantrell is a musical genius and guitar savant, this is a more mature sound reflecting his (and my) age. It's fabulous.

@Gossosgrocs2 жыл бұрын
@@robertellion1873 ghost as in Black Gives Way to Blue? There was only one Layne Staley and no one can look down on Layne, he had a unique style and his voice was his gift. In fact, Never Fade of this same album, Layne and Chris were an inspiration on that song for Jerry. I guess it was dedicated to them and both of them never were and never will be forgotten by AIC. AIC wouldn't continue to exist after Layne's death if it weren't for Jerry. Jerry is the mastermind, songwriter and the lead vocalist, the voice of the actual AIC is Jerry, not William. William is not lead. William does a great job together with Jerry, but Layne is Layne. William is not a replacement

Can Jerry Cantrell do any wrong as a guitar player I don't think so. Most people after they release a few albums their music starts going down hill. AICs music gets better I guess these guys age like fine wine

The sound engineering on this album stinks. Assuming that the master tapes are clean, this album should be re-mixed and re-issued.
@clutchinson74382 жыл бұрын
can u be a little more.specific? The material is superb but your comment reminded me that initially I had a similar sentiment..though i got past whatever "it " was that was bothering me. but im interested to hear in detail what is happening freq wise that is disappointing you? I never had that sentiment with Black Gives Way to Blue or The Devil......Here. of course the material and emotion of the.work is entirely different. A huge supercomoressed full specrrum treatment may not have conveyed the zeitgeist of the album. thanks for any time you spend replying.
