My memory of Spam was my Father who was in WW2. He told me that when he was on leave from the army he and his army friends would rush over to the cafés so hungry for a hot meal. They had fried spam and chips with bread and butter and a mug of tea. That was a great meal at that time for them. Hope you enjoy Anastasia and Guinevere Elinor 🇬🇧 x

My dad was a cook in the Army in WW2 and he used to fix fried spam 😊. I kinda liked it probably because I didn't know what it was made from lol. I don't think he could get me to eat now. He used to tell me stories about being in the war. Thanks for reminding me of him... I still miss him every day❤

@@oneseeker2 ironic, because margarine is so unhealthy. People think Spam is mystery meat when in actuality it is 6 simple ingredients. It is not a health food but it is not any.less healthy than margarine. It's pork shoulder and ham. Haven't eaten since my husband passed which is going on 20 years...but I am gonna have me a Spam and pickle sandwich (with mustard of course) so joining the twins in some " hummy yummy"😋

I am in my 70's and my husband had served in Vietnam. He grew up in Appalachia and introduced me to Spam, I still enjoy it to this day and have about 8 different recipes I use but nothing beats a spam & mustard sandwich for me. Low sodium nowadays. Spam is very popular in Europe. Two little " princesses" enjoying spam has me craving a Spam sandwich...yup, it's gonna happen. :-)

When I was a child, we had Spam once a week or so. My dad would make scalloped potatoes in a big PYREX bowl and the Spam slices were the protein for that meal. I actually liked it. Now I buy the Hickory Spam. It's very close to bacon in flavor, but we don't have it once a week like when I was a kid, it's more like 2 or 3 times a year. I love watching the twins as they forage through their culinary adventures with you and your husband. They seem to be developing preferences. It's so sweet when one tries something and say it's good, and then the other tries it. We just saw that again in this video! When my daughter was their age, all she would eat was sausage and cheese. Thankfully, now that she's in her 40's, she has expanded her consumption and loves many different foods. I love the way you translate for us!
