One of my favourite ever series, I can't even remember how many times I've came back to watch it again. Curled up in bed in the dark, headphones on, with Kim and Hannah's dulcet tones screaming in my ear holes. Perfection

I like how the ship that recovered the flight recorder is the Anesidora. That's an alternative name for Pandora - implying that the crew of the Anesidora opened up Pandora's box.

I agree wholeheartedly with Kim. The near-future of space travel will most likely be cluttered and cramped and cruddy. That's part of the reason why I like Star Wars more than Star Trek. In Star Trek, everything is shiny and clean, whereas in Star Wars there's dirt wedged in the cracks of the floor plating of most ships.

Parklout When it came out, they seemed to have changed their tune since, IGN and Gamespot gave it less favorable reviews. They didn't like the way the Alien was indestructible or how the save feature worked. But those companies are run by people who have been brought up on the quick save feature of most RPG games and have had their minds polluted by such movies as AVP. Funny how the 2 things they didn't like most gamers loved.

An overexcited Kim is always fun to watch. And the original Alien movie was released in 1979, not the 80's. It's still one of my favourite films.

Love this already and it's hardly started! Massive fan of the old, original Alien films! And I love how they've included a little bit of the old soundtrack in this new one! Can't wait for the next parts to come!!!

I like the fact they chat through it. They put the subtitles up so its not such a big deal.

I think they reason why they investigate is because it's in their contract. Like even in the first movie, when the original crew finds out Nostromo has changed its course and they have to investigate because they came across an SOS transmission. Parker threw a fit and said it wasn't in their contracts to save people and that's where Ash says there is a clause in the contract which specifically states any systematized transmission indicating a possible intelligent origin must be investigated.

I've not played alot of this game but there are somethings I have noticed almost immediately. 1. The game seems extremely well optimized on PC, running on Ultra at 30 fps on a mid end machine (equivalent to PS4). 2. The controls feel extremely 'floaty' with keyboard and mouse, some head bobbing issues and slight mouse acceleration. (fixed with xbox360 controller) 3. The game looks incredible, and the textures are crisp as long as you don't put your face up against the wall. 4. The friendly NPC AI seems to have occasional issues, with them blocking doors/hallways and being unable to move them out of the way. 5. The enemy AI however is much better, and the xenomorph is where this really shines through. But in all, so far it is a good game, and with future updates it is only going to get better.

Complain to youtube. Sips had a lengthy explanation of why Yogscast does short videos. It boils down to how many people stick with the video past about 10-15 minutes and how the ad revenue is impacted by drop-offs. Personally, I don't mind shorter videos if there are more of them. The longer videos become tedious if you have to start them and come back later.

I was thinking "nah, it was late seventies, wasn't it?" and yeah just checked it was released in 1979. I think the aesthetic is definitely more 70s than 80s. A lot of things became colourful or snazzy in 80s movies, whereas previous sci-fi, (after the vibrant 60s) was more subdued.
