If he really loved his wife and kids his only answer could be no. But he blow it by not telling them hell no at the first incounter with the queen. Now the wife could never be sure of him after his non answer.

I love these stories in general, but this one… No! Any mate that abandons his young & dependant mate, is genetically worthless. What good is a father, mate, provider & protector, who abandons his mate, fails to provide for them, & fails to protect? Not believable that such an irresponsible mate would be chosen as consort & to father future leaders. The story had well told elements & was generally entertaining, but failed to address the central flaw in the main character.

David is a textbook toxic narcissist. He PRETENDS he has empathy but is completely apathetic to Emma and their children. NEVER did he TRULY care about their feelings and kept using the excuse that he had no choice, "blame shifting", as he easily committed adultery with the Queen knowing full well the pain, betrayal, and trauma it would cause Emma, and the life long damage of abandonment issues and inferiority complex, it would cause their children. His future alien hybrid children were much more important to him because they could give him an endless narcissistic supply that his human kids, in his mind, could not. David is nothing more than a disgusting, selfish, pig with No morals, no integrity, a LIAR, etc. He is definitely NOT a logical candidate to be the father of ANYBODY, let alone an entire new generation! Once a cheater always a cheater. He'll do the same thing to the Queen if a better offer comes along.
